It was so much fun working with Kate and Matt on their special day. Since the bride is in the "business" she was prepared with her ideas and vision from the get go and knew as soon as she saw it that Scholls Valley Lodge was the perfect place to bring her wedding vision to life.
Luckily for all of us, we got a beautiful sunny day at the end of April and were able to keep the ceremony and reception outside. Kate and Matt really wanted to add their own personal touches to the wedding from the groom making the arbor, to a friend making the bar and Kate's mom (who happens to be a florist in LA) handling all of the flower arrangements. Guests were treated to a grand pan of paella made onsite and the bride's favorite - donut desert wall!

You can’t help but love a beautiful wedding inside the tent at The Oregon Golf Club! That was exactly the thought that Megan Westphal and Peter Stach had when planning their fabulous June wedding, earlier this year. The girls arrived at the golf club, after getting hair and makeup perfectly styled by Powder Inc., at the Westphal’s home in the west hills.
The couple opted to not do a first look, so they stayed tucked away while Peter and his groomsmen took photos around the golf course with Amanda K Photography. While photos were being taken, Good Seed Floral was busy inside the tent, adorning the hanging chandeliers with custom florals and greenery for the event, which perfectly complimented the beautiful rentals from The Party Place.
To start the outdoor ceremony, John Ross Music’s, Andrew Serino, was on hand to greet guests with live accoustic guitar. Post ceremony, guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks passed by The Oregon Golf Club on the patio. Once seated for dinner, everyone watched as the lively bridal party danced their way to their seats, before Megan and Peter shared their first dance.
Andrew Serino was on hand once more to play a live, acoustic set during dinner. After a string of beautiful toasts from friends and family, guests got a chance to enjoy a slice of cake from Beaverton Bakery, while waiting to take their turn in the photo booth provided by Snap Bar. Once full and photographed, everyone was ready to party!! The Coastline was on hand to help with this, playing an upbeat set of music from all genres. The couples sparkler exit was an amazing way to end an evening full of laughter and dancing. Megan and Peter, I have so enjoyed getting to know you, and wish you all the best!
This was such a magical, colorful, beautiful day to be a part of! I always love a cultural ceremony, and in this case, I got to see two. Jedel & Salil chose to hold their dual celebration at the gorgeous Barn Kestrel in West Linn. Dylan Howell was on hand throughout the entire day to capture every exciting moment.
After being pampered by the talented artists at Blossom & Beauty, Jedel and the girls headed over to prepare for the Hindu ceremony. The beginning of these elaborate rituals is a Baraat, where the groom is escorted by his entire family to present himself to the bride’s family. We had Pedicabs on hand to bring the groom down in style. We then moved our way into the gorgeous tent provided by Peter Corvallis, for the catholic ceremony. The bride and her bridesmaids carried stunning bouquets created by New Seasons Market, who also provided the flowers for the entire event. The couple were married by Father Kevin Yell, under a beautiful mandap set by Bowerbird Events.
Once the ceremonies were finished, guests transitioned into the barn for cocktails provided by Heart & Honey. Vibrant Table Catering was busy to transform the tent into a beautiful reception space for dinner, provided by Swagat. After an amazing series of toasts, guests headed back into the barn. They were treated to an amazing coconut/cardamom cake made by Papa Haydn. Then, the party was ready to start! Precious Byrd came up from Bend, OR. to treat guests to a an evening filled with energetic dancing. This couple was so amazing to get to know. They have so much love for one another and the families that they’ve both gained. Jedel and Salil, I wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness together!

It is not everyday that your boss asks you to coordinate her sister-in-law’s wedding. It was such an honour to help bring Courtney and Aaron’s dreams to life and be a part of their amazing day.
Their wedding was chic, stylish, effortlessly elegant, and a ton of fun! Courtney and Aaron chose to focus a long weekend worth of wedding events at Black Butte Ranch where Courtney spent summers and holidays growing up. Courtney’s memories from childhood of watching from the pool deck as brides would sashay down the lawn to their ceremonies were the foundation of her dream of being married at Black Butte Ranch. With spectacular views of the mountains reflected in the lake and sprawling lawns in the sunshine, a more perfect setting would have been hard to find!
Colors and decor were moody, with dark plum and burgundy foliage mixed into the florals with accents of ivory and blush dahlias, tucked in with lush textural elements. The ceremony was held outdoors in the fall sunshine against the backdrop of the lake and mountains, with blankets for guests to cuddle into as the afternoon sun set and the temperature dropped. The aisle between walnut benches was lined with naturalistic grasses and dark foliage that seemed to be growing out of the lawn, with a semi-circle of similar arrangements defining the altar space. Courtney couldn't have been more darling in her fitted gown from Anna's Bridal, showing off her six month baby bump.
The reception was held beneath a tent with strings of cafe lights reflecting their ambiance in the clear canopy, with heaters to keep guests toasty despite the precipitously dropping temperature outside. Long table centerpieces were set in mixed gold and brass vases and surrounded with chunky black pillar candles. Rustic wooden chairs and neutral linen completed the look.
Special highlights of the day included the ceremony processional, with a special arrangement of music performed by a string quartet and sung by the bride’s uncle and cousin, which set the tone for a deeply emotional and personal day. Craft cocktails developed by Aaron (a professional mixologist) were an instant hit and subtly imbued the reception with his personality and style. Lastly, the father of the bride surprised everyone during his speech by singing to Courtney, with her brother jumping on stage to play drums while her uncle and cousin sung backup and played guitar. Not usually a singer, Courtney’s father had spent six months in voice lessons and in trawling karaoke bars to practice! The sweetness of the moment was unparalleled.
It was such a delight to work with Courtney and Aaron and share in the joy of the Sheils family as they grow. Congratulations Aaron and Court -- and cheers to your next adventures!

Brooke + Tom (and Brooke's mom!) were so wonderful to work with and I truly enjoyed getting to know them throughout the planning process! They knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding day and chose First Presbyterian and Sentinel's Governor Ballroom as the perfect settings to celebrate. Brooke envisioned a soft, elegant look with white, pink, and navy details and assembled an amazing team of vendors to create it!
After a sweet ceremony at First Presbyterian, they were announced into dinner to cheers and congratulations from their friends and family. It was amazing to see how much these two love each other and the support they have from their friends and family as they start this new adventure together. Huge congrats to this wonderful couple!

Kristina and Matt were married at Mt. Hood Organic Farms on a beautiful summer day in June. Their love for the outdoors and the beauty of Oregon was reflected beautifully! The ceremony overlooked Mt Hood, family blew bubbles with Buzz Lightyear bubble blowers, and Kristina stole the show in a gorgeous ombre blush gown.
After the ceremony guests played lawn games and enjoyed yummy apps and drinks by Cultivate Catering before snapping group photos in front of the picturesque mountain. As guests made their way inside for dinner they were greeted by gorgeous ombre pink and blue menu cards by The That Binds and lush ivory and pink floral from Bloomsbury.
After a delicious family style meal and a fantastic Mt Hood replicated cake by Lux Sucre, guests danced the night away to music provided by Chad Dowling. Kristina and Matt's love is one of a kind and it was reflected in the love and laughter that filled the room throughout the evening. Thank you, you two, for letting me be a part of your big day.
From the moment I met Molly and her mom Teresa I knew this wedding was going to be fun, classic, and incredibly gorgeous. Molly and her groom Connor picked two perfect venues with a ceremony at Sacred Heart, which was Molly's home church growing up, and reception on the gorgeous grounds of Waverley Country Club. Guests arrived at Sacred Heart where they were greeted by gorgeous music from Notes of Celebration and a full Catholic Mass preformed by Fr. Bob, who is a close friend of the family.
Once at Waverley, guests mingled on the lawn while enjoying delicious bites from the venue catering staff and the gorgeous views of the golf course. As the dinner bells rang, tables drenched in crisp white and delicate green florals and shiny gold votives from Swoon Floral Design filled the room. The couple also used their escort cards as an opportunity to write personal hand written notes to each of their guests.
The evening was full of heartfelt toasts, continuous music and dancing from 5 Guys Named Moe, and yummy french quarter beignets instead of cake. Ashley Forrette Photography and J and M Media were able to capture touching moments and sweet dance moves - some even accentuated by LED tambourines. There was not a single detail missed by this sweet and loving couple. Molly, Connor and Teresa, it was such an honor to help bring your wedding dreams to reality. We wish you a fantastic future and know you will go far.
