Sheila + Scot

A spring wedding is always a bit unpredictable in Oregon. Lucky for us, we had the pleasure of working with the most laid back couple at Tetherow Resort in Bend last April. The day greeted us with wind, rain and even some snow, but ended with some perfectly timed sunshine for Sheila and Scot. Their wedding day took place at Tetherow’s newly built wedding pavilion. Heirloom Floral brought in some gorgeous spring arrangements, with pops of bright pink peonies and ranunculus.

The bouquets were all wrapped in different shades of green to compliment the accents of navy throughout the event. Once hair and makeup were completed by Lindsay Wegner and Kate Hana Artistry, the bridal party met outside for formal photos taken by Joe Kline Photography, who was there to capture the entire evening. As guests arrived, they had the opportunity to sign a custom made poster for the couple. The ceremony was held in the wedding pavilion which was filled with friends and family, and the couple’s fur baby Filippe was on hand to help the pair say their vows. Once the “I do’s” were done, the crowd was treated to a surprise performance by bagpiper Mike Baxter, as the bridal party recessed out to cocktail hour. Local beers and wine were passed by the Tetherow staff while guests mingled around large fire pits overlooking the golf course.

Dinner took place back in the wedding pavillion, although it was hard to recognize after the staff transformed the space for the reception. Seats were assigned and easy to find with custom cards from Minted, which were delivered using custom take-home pint glasses designed by the couple. Dinner was followed by some of the best speeches I have ever heard, and cutting into a gorgeous cake from The Cake Lady.

A fabulous dance party ensued and went well into the
evening, My favorite part? A perfectly choreographed dance by the couple to Bill Withers “Lovely Day”, which it truly was! Congratulations Sheila and Scot, you two bring smiles to
everyone in your path and I wish you the happiest marriage possible!

I just wanted to thank you for assigning Cam as my planner — she was absolutely spectacular and we had so much fun and didn’t have to worry about anything. Thank you for running such a rad business!
