Lauren + Damin

Damin & Lauren from day one had an amazing vision of bringing the feel and layout of a park into the Sentinel's Governor Ballroom. As we dove into wedding planning this theme was so much fun to execute and made for one memorable event!

Memorial Weekend weather can be hit & miss here in Portland. But for Damin and Lauren the weather was perfect. It was sunny, warm, and a slight breeze. Their ceremony was held at the Oregon Historical Society, and within 5 minutes of starting the ceremony the patio was completely covered in shade. I would like to thank my planning skills made this possible, right? The ceremony was absolutely beautiful as Lauren walked down an aisle completely covered in rose petals designed by Blum

After the ceremony and cocktail hour guests were invited to walk just a few blocks over to the Sentinel for dinner and dancing. Brittany Hampton helped make the walk extra memorable by providing custom maps showing the walking path. And to make sure no one got lost, each block had their logo colored in chalk, directing them through the city.

As guests made their way to the reception, they were welcomed into a beautiful park-like ballroom. There were a dozen 14 foot trees in the ballroom, arching over doors and tables, creating an intimate feel to such a grand room. The tables were designed down to the last little detail of ribbon - tying the napkin. As the evening unfolded guests were kept on their toes with little surprised throughout the night.

Some of my favorite details included, a strolling boozy coffee cart - guests were offered different liquors to be added to their cup of coffee, Pips Doughnuts - serving up some tasty late night snacks, and caricature drawings for those guests who wanted a fun sketch.

Their wedding was so special and the pictures show just how much fun everyone had too!
