Downtown Portland Wedding

Keira + Alex

When two stylish and sweet people are getting married you know it's going to be one for the books! Alex and Keira were so fun to work with during wedding planning. Both living in Arizona but planning a wedding in Portland we set up weekly calls to make sure every detail was looked after and boy, was it worth every minute!

Guests were invited into the Billiard Room for the ceremony. NW Events draped the full room creating a romantic, soft glow to the room.

Honor Flowers created a show stopping geometric backdrop adorned with rich colored flowers and greenery.

After the ceremony guests were invited upstairs to a show stopping reception. Place settings included grey stoneware plates, rose gold dinner menus with geometric tiles as the place cards.

Chad Dowling kept the guests entertained & dancing all night with the amazing Alyssa Brooke capturing every little moment.

A sparkler send-off ended the amazing evening for one amazing couple. We loved being apart of it - thank you Keira & Alex!

Amanda + Adrian

I don't know how I got so lucky to work with such a fun loving, genuine couple. Amanda and Adrian from day one were two amazing people that wanted to treat their family and friends to a special and fun day. After looking at a few different venues we landed on the Sentinel

They loved everything about the venue but what really sealed the deal was the ability to host cocktail hour at Jackknife. Jackknife was one of Amanda & Adrian's first dates so it felt like a homecoming of sorts. We worked with an amazing team of vendors to bring their vision to life. Mosca, Event Team, Seventh Stem, Crave Design, Sedera, Party Place and Dream Cakes all worked hard to bring in a effortless romance to the day.

The couple said "I do" in the Renaissance Room, followed by cocktail hour at Jackknife and the reception in the Governor.

The ballroom was kept simple with white chairs, white linens and then elevated with lush green and white flowers. The room was glowing and created the perfect setting for a special celebration. As the toasts came to an end the guests anxiously awaited to hit the dance floor and pretty much never left it. Event Team kept the party rocking till the wee hours. We were so lucky to be apart of such a special evening. Big thanks to Amanda and Adrian!

Bridal Bliss was incredible and made the process of being engaged SO enjoyable!!! Elizabeth was just so fun to be around and positive and we felt overall that she really understood us - who we are as a couple - and that was reflected in everything she helped us with. It made our day so special and so us. We couldn’t recommend Bridal Bliss more.

Michelle + Stefano

People like Michelle + Stefano are why I love doing what I do.  Not only are the super nice but they are truly genuine people who just want the best for everyone they know and love, which made planning not only fun but meaningful as well. We selected The Old Church for their ceremony and The Treasury Ballroom for their reception, both historical buildings in Downtown Portland.

For decor, we kept the church simple, letting the beauty of the design speak for itself.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the beautifully remodeled Treasury Ballroom where they were greeted with signature cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres by Vibrant Table Catering.  Flowers filled the reception room with gorgeous purple, blue and white florals by Blum Floral, with tables covered in soft grey linens and glass gold beaded chargers + chiavaris. Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious sweets and cake by Dream Cakes and danced the night away with an epic dance party put on by Event Team Entertainment. It was truly a magical night.

Madelyn + Doug

It's a little blurry, like some of my college weekends - but I first met Maddie at the University of Portland. Maddie and I became friends through a business group on campus. Her infectious laugh and smile brighten up any room, which I loved. She visited me while studying abroad where some of the funniest memories were made. Over the years our friendship circles kept us in contact so when Maddie reached out to me to help plan her wedding, I was over the moon.

Doug and Maddie met through their local kickball league and after years of dating, he popped the question. This fall we dove head first into planning their January wedding. They selected the University of Portland to say "I do" followed by a reception at District East. The ceremony was personal and sweet as they were back on campus as a node to Maddie's college years. After the ceremony, guests made their way downtown and were welcomed into a space that was ready for an all out celebration.

Helping to kick off the party was Three Leg Torso. As a surprise to Maddie, Doug hired them to serenade his new wife. Three Leg Torso is extra special as they also played at their engagement, when Maddie heard the tunes, she knew and was so excited. Vibrant Table provided delicious food with a Spanish theme throughout the evening and included some late night snacks of mini corndogs and sliders. As guests mingled throughout the night the biggest hit was the ice luge guests were invited to try. You can bet after a few visits to the ice luge the dance floor was packed. Chad Dowling kept the guests dancing all night. Was a night to remember and I was so glad we were able to be apart of it all! Thank you Maddie & Doug!

Mona + Shayan

Mona and Shayan were two of the best! Being from Portland originally, they both reside in the Bay area now, wanted to bring their family & guests back to their home in the PNW. They wanted to give their guests the full Portland experience with a Persian flare.

They landed on The Nines in downtown Portland. The night before guests were invited to sip on drinks up on the trendy rooftop of Departure and continued celebrating the next day in the Grand Ballroom at The Nines. The sofreh was decorated beautifully with floral from Floral Sunshine and an amazing spread of personal and family items covered the entire stage. An 8 ft’ wide aisle set the stage for Mona’s gorgeous gown along with floating candles in tall water vases.

Once Mona & Shayan said “I Do” it was time to party! Mona & Shayan opted to have a later dinner and have the guests engage in some dancing right after cocktail hour. It was fantastic to see everyone hop out of their seats and get their dance on so early in the night! The Nines, as usual, served amazing food with a fantastic drip cake to seal the deal. What a night celebrating Mona & Shayan -  Congrats you two!

We had the pleasure of working with Catherine Sammon on our wedding. We hired her as our day of the event coordinator but I feel like she was involved in every step of my planning. I can not describe how helpful she was and how calm she kept me (the bride) throughout the whole process. Given that we were planning our wedding long distance, she was truly God sent and all a bride needs. She was 100% reliable and knew what she was doing. She is an amazing listener and an easy person to work with. I was at times a bridezilla but she never made me feel that way. We are forever grateful to Catherine.

Leslie + Robert | Portland Wedding | Oregon Event Planning and Design | Mosca Studio Photography

When Coos Bay sweethearts Leslie and Robert first recruited Bridal Bliss to help plan their wedding a few things were clear to me -- guests would be greeted at the ceremony with a glass of Champagne, there would be an open bar, the food would be delicious, and elegance and fun would define the look and feel of the entire celebration.

Finding the perfect venue was a beautiful compromise. Robert had his heart set on a golf course, while Leslie envisioned an exquisite ballroom. So we created a putting green inside a ballroom! The golf theme continued throughout. Specialty cocktails were inspired by golfing greats -- “The Hole in One”, “The Garden City” and “The Mother of Pearl” (the official cocktail of The Masters!) -- and each table was named after a golf course where Robert and Leslie had played.

Playing off the dramatic elegance of the ivory and navy blue ballroom, dinner tables were arranged in large Xs and Os and lush ivory florals of dahlias, roses, ranunculus and hydrangea, with simple touches of eucalyptus greenery added romance to the chic ivory and gold table settings. Each guest was greeted at their place setting with a mini cupcake, in a nod to Leslie’s passion for cake. It was the perfect sweet treat to nibble on as Leslie and Robert were introduced into the ballroom and started with a beautifully

Dinner was as lavish and delicious as imagined, and then the party only escalated! After heartwarming speeches it was time to kick off the dancing, including a special Polynesian dance performed by Leslie, her bridesmaids and the women in her family, and later a traditional Samoan money dance with both Robert and Leslie dressed up in full regalia! Undoubtedly the highlight of the evening.

It was such a pleasure to bring Robert and Leslie’s vision for their wedding to life. Surrounded by their friends and family, blending Polynesian and Oregonian histories together, and witnessing the start of a new chapter in their lives, I couldn’t have been happier to be their planner. Congratulations again, Robert and Leslie!

Bridal Bliss is a must when planning a wedding! Our coordinator did an outstanding job throughout the entire planning process. She was respectful of our budget, professional, punctual in all communication and had a very calm but positive energy that made the planning and big day a major success! We highly reccomend the full service option with Bridal Bliss. Every detail was perfect, absolutely nothing was missed and they make you feel like you’re their number one priority. Overall, Bridal Bliss is an outstanding company with creative ideas, sincere employees and a dedication to providing excellent service to the bride + groom. Best money we ever spent!
