It's always exciting when a new venue pops up and The Barn PNW did not disappoint! Located in Dayton, nestled amongst the cherry trees lies an adorable red barn with gorgeous cedar doors which also serves as a family run and owned cherry farm. So, when Meghan and I toured the space with Kellye in the spring, we were inspired to utilize the natural elements of the venue as well as incorporating Pantone's colors of 2016 (rose quartz + serenity), and marble (a hot trend right now), all while keeping it elegant and enchanting.
We utilized the venue's trellis, which Bella Bloom adorned with gorgeous greenery, lilacs and lush cherry blossoms, to serve as our ceremony structure. For our tablescape inside the barn, we incorporated gorgeous soft grays and white paisley print linens from La Tavola. The table included beautiful pieces from Classic Vintage Rentals-- everything from gold rimmed Limoge dinnerware, gold & silver flatware and crystal glassware. We also featured a signature cocktail inside blush coupe glasses, garnished with Meyer lemon and a cherry blossom. Each setting was adorned by marble coasters with gold rims which served as place settings and marble was also incorporated into the vases and votives. Florals were kept low and lush throughout the table and included soft pink roses, jasmine and even some touches of moss and eucalyptus. To make a statement, we hung cherry blossoms above the table with tea lights, bringing the look all together (a personal fav!).

The Old Schoolhouse is nestled amongst a filbert orchard in the heart of Newberg. The owners did a great job renovating the historic building and added just the right amount of touches to appease all types of weddings and events. The indoor ballroom has a grand yet cozy feel while the outside was landscaped with everything in mind, allowing for brides to select which area they prefer for their ceremony backdrop. For our inspiration shoot, we wanted to incorporate the bold tones of Pantone's 2015 color of the year Marsala, all while keeping it simple yet elegant. With that in mind, we utilized the venue's wooden table as our base with items from Classic Vintage Rentals to tie everything in. Tufted chairs, velvet marsala runner, with gold rimmed limoge vintage plates and assorted silverware gave the table an classic yet old fashioned flair. Florals in an array of burgundies, reds, greens and pinks at various heights sat in vintage vases. To top it off, we asked the experts at Greenlight Creative to create a special backdrop with lighting to add to the elegance of the tablescape. The Photo Booth backdrop was made out of literature book pages, a great nod to an "old schoolhouse". Macaron favors, delicious treats from Devil's Food Catering and a "naked" red velvet cake sat amongst a vintage burgundy cake stand with accents of dogwood to top off the look. It was a great collaboration by all involved, and Ruffled took note and featured the editorial!

For this editorial shoot featured by The Perfect Palette, our team wanted to work together to create something unique and thought outside the box to find inspiration from non-mainstream avenues. As wedding professionals we often work with couples who are overwhelmed by the mainstream wedding images and popular wedding traditions. Courtney, of Courtney Z Photography, really wanted to provide some inspiration for how to create a beautiful scene that is unique and still attainable. We targeted vendors who love working on weddings but also work in other areas of their expertise. We encouraged the team of professionals to fit within our broad concept but to take risks and create something that they love and want to share with future clients. The palette of deep reds, purples and golds complimented the gorgeous texture of fruit in the table design and the setting of Union Pine lended itself perfectly. The most fun detail of our day was that our "real couple" had recently gotten married in a small and intimate ceremony. They did not however have any professional photos - therefore this shoot really topped the charts for not only the fabulous vendors involved, but also our most adorable same-sex couple

We were thrilled when Kate from Seattle Bride Magazine asked us to collaborate with her on the Unveiled section of their Summer/Fall issue! When she shared the theme (coffee!), Elizabeth and I were excited to bring this Seattle staple to life. Although many couples have given a nod to this local favorite on their big day, it was so much fun working with our vendors to showcase some new ideas. If you are looking to add a little buzz to your wedding - look no farther!
Being a part of an editorial spread is such an honor, and so much fun. When Alisa + Amanda from Oregon Bride Magazine approached us with a Scandinavian theme, we were all in. The challenge was that Katy and I had only two short weeks to pull it all together! Between narrowing down a simple yet refined aesthetic, sourcing all the items and coordinating vendors, it was definitely a bit crazy. That being said, we are thrilled with how it turned out and it was such a blast to shoot!

This vibrant brunch wedding inspiration shoot we designed in collaboration with some of Portland’s top-notch wedding professionals was easily one of our favorites! Between the amazing floral runner, the mini treats and all the sweet details, what’s not to love? STYLE ME PRETTY agreed–CLICK HERE for their feature!
We selected a brunch theme as the city of Portland is is very well known for their brunches. With patrons waiting in line for hours, we decided to skip the lines and bring a delicious brunch menu and atmosphere to a new venue in town. WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL, which opened it’s doors soon after our shoot, has an incredible roof top deck with a stunning view of Portland.
When planning the brunch we wanted to create a clean but festive feel with vibrant spring colors. Spring is a wonderful time of year in Portland and we wanted to capture the freshness and bring it to life. From personal mini cakes to crossword puzzles, we adorned the table with fun details wedding guests would enjoy.
