Rosalind + Blair Wedding Day

Following a night of laughs and love at their rehearsal dinner and welcome party, the next day, Rosalind + Blair said their "I do's" at a quaint church in downtown Portland followed by a stunning reception at Waverley Country Club. We decked out the outdoor lawn with lights and hanging greenery. It was the perfect evening for an outdoor dance party + some fun desserts that rolled in late night.

After a sweet first look and bridal party pictures, the group took off in the Double Decker Bus to the church to officially tie the knot!

Rosalind + Blair made it official and they were off to Waverely to celebrate with their guests! One of my favorite touches to this wedding was the grooms tequila lounge, named, "Blair's Bar." During one of our meetings we bonded over our love of tequila and his passion for tasting. We got to thinking and soon enough we had the perfect tequila lounge, set a bit away from the rest of the celebrations, for friends to gather and enjoy some of Blair's favorite tequila. I was honored when I got an email from Blair asking me to go full decor to make this bar something special. It turned out to be the hot spot of the night!

Blair & Rosalind were definitely something special. I wish you both nothing but the best in your new marriage!

Keira + Alex

When two stylish and sweet people are getting married you know it's going to be one for the books! Alex and Keira were so fun to work with during wedding planning. Both living in Arizona but planning a wedding in Portland we set up weekly calls to make sure every detail was looked after and boy, was it worth every minute!

Guests were invited into the Billiard Room for the ceremony. NW Events draped the full room creating a romantic, soft glow to the room.

Honor Flowers created a show stopping geometric backdrop adorned with rich colored flowers and greenery.

After the ceremony guests were invited upstairs to a show stopping reception. Place settings included grey stoneware plates, rose gold dinner menus with geometric tiles as the place cards.

Chad Dowling kept the guests entertained & dancing all night with the amazing Alyssa Brooke capturing every little moment.

A sparkler send-off ended the amazing evening for one amazing couple. We loved being apart of it - thank you Keira & Alex!

A + W Wedding Weekend

This wedding weekend is one for the books. A + W came to us wanting to plan a fun -all-out Portland wedding for their guests. With everyone traveling to Portland for the weekend we wanted to make sure and show them all that this beautiful city has to offer. We dove in head first as we knew it was going to be a big fun weekend.

A + W kicked off the festivities with a small dinner on Thursday at Kachka. We worked with Chervona who provided traditional Ukrainian music for the dinner. Guests dined on an amazing family style meal showcasing some of Kachka's most well known dishes. And of course everything was paired with their vodkas!

The following day guests made their way out to either Hood River or Willamette Valley to enjoy the fun offerings outside of the city. That evening everyone was welcomed to Plaza del Toro for lively dinner featuring menu items from Tasty n' Sons and Tasty n' Alder. A + W loved picking out Northwest food and drinks for their guests, wanting to feature the best of the best. DJ Cooky Parker kept the good times rolling by spinning soul inspired vinyls throughout the night. After the dinner guests ended the night with a drink at Doug Fir.

For the wedding day we worked with Jacobsen Salt to provide a fun and urban venue for their wedding. A + W wanted the evening to be laid back, simple yet styled effortlessly and that is exactly what came together. We worked an A-list of vendors who made it all possible. One of the highlights of the design was having Fieldwork Flowers suspend 200 white peonies from the ceiling of the ceremony area. The high rafters and floating flowers gave the ceremony space this ultra romantic, chapel like feel. It was truly gorgeous.

Outside in the parking lot we worked with Barclays and Classic Vintage Rentals to design a fun, laid back tent for cocktail hour. With the perfect amount of sunshine guests enjoyed sipping on cocktails and bites of food outside. Back inside the vendors worked to flip the ceremony space to the reception space.

As the evening moved along guests were invited back inside for dinner which was comprised of three unique food stations from Art of Catering. The stations were full of local purveyors paired with NW wines from Lingua Franca and Domain Serene. Precious Byrd welcomed guests to the dance floor and kept the party going all night. Throughout the evening guests were treated to unique Oregon experiences including Salt & Straw ice cream, Case Study Coffee Cart and a weed bar.

After the wedding guests made their way to La Merde for a fun after party with a balloon filled room, DJ stray mixing music and food from Montage. It was the perfect ending to a long day of fun and celebrations. The next morning guests were welcomed to The Nines for a brunch and to pick up hangover kits. After three days of celebrations Bridal Bliss put together little kits to help guests get through their Sunday's and flights back home. We absolutely loved being apart of this fun filled wedding weekend and were so thankful Dylan Howell captured all the amazing pictures. Thanks A + W!!

Amanda + Adrian

I don't know how I got so lucky to work with such a fun loving, genuine couple. Amanda and Adrian from day one were two amazing people that wanted to treat their family and friends to a special and fun day. After looking at a few different venues we landed on the Sentinel

They loved everything about the venue but what really sealed the deal was the ability to host cocktail hour at Jackknife. Jackknife was one of Amanda & Adrian's first dates so it felt like a homecoming of sorts. We worked with an amazing team of vendors to bring their vision to life. Mosca, Event Team, Seventh Stem, Crave Design, Sedera, Party Place and Dream Cakes all worked hard to bring in a effortless romance to the day.

The couple said "I do" in the Renaissance Room, followed by cocktail hour at Jackknife and the reception in the Governor.

The ballroom was kept simple with white chairs, white linens and then elevated with lush green and white flowers. The room was glowing and created the perfect setting for a special celebration. As the toasts came to an end the guests anxiously awaited to hit the dance floor and pretty much never left it. Event Team kept the party rocking till the wee hours. We were so lucky to be apart of such a special evening. Big thanks to Amanda and Adrian!

Bridal Bliss was incredible and made the process of being engaged SO enjoyable!!! Elizabeth was just so fun to be around and positive and we felt overall that she really understood us - who we are as a couple - and that was reflected in everything she helped us with. It made our day so special and so us. We couldn’t recommend Bridal Bliss more.

Alice + Nathan

Alice + Nathan were so fun to work with! Not only did Alice know what she wanted but she made decisions quickly and we had a great time planning their wedding.  For the venue, they wanted something outdoors, but close in to town.  They chose Riverhaven in Wilsonville, which is nestled amongst Christmas trees and the Willamette River. The perfect location, close enough proximity to town, but it also was its own private haven in the middle of nowhere.

The decor was simple yet elegant. A sweet ceremony and a tearful groom, there is nothing better!

We opted for a clear tent dripping with fairy lights which made for an intimate setting for dinner. Guests sat at wooden farm tables with blush, ivory florals with touches of gold accents.  A delish dinner provided by Devil's Food Catering had everyone grinning from ear to ear with their insanely good fried chicken and Event Team Entertainment had the dance floor packed all night.  Such a magical evening!

Alice + Nathan, thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!

Working with Bridal Bliss was the best decision we could have made. Katy kept us organized, our budget on track, & never missed a step! We couldn’t have imagined it any more perfect & we can honestly say it was the best night of our lives! We were blown away by the service at Bridal Bliss and loved working with Katy!

Martha + Jody

I knew from the moment I met Martha and her mother Betsy, that this wedding would be a dream! The classic, elegant details fell together naturally. Martha and Jody live in Boston, so we worked together remotely.

Three months before the wedding, news broke that the Royal Wedding would happen on the same day. For many, I think this news would be sad, but Martha & Jody weren’t phased at all. If anything, the couple was happy to have a smaller spot light on them. Friends and family flew in from all over the United States, Canada, and Europe to attend so there was a whole week worth of festivities to celebrate.

Portland always has an unpredictable spring, and sure enough the weather was questionable right up until the big day then cleared and blessed the wedding with the perfect amount of sunshine. Guests were able to enjoy the golf club grounds before and after the ceremony.

Since the Portland Golf Club inside space has such a big, open floor plan, we created a temporary, elegant wall between the ceremony area and another space where all the dinner tables were set so guests could experience each part of the wedding without seeing what was coming next. The space was transformed from classic ceremony, to partial outdoor cocktail hour, fine dining dinner, then party dance floor. My favorite detail of the night was the mini maple syrup favors we placed at each place setting (the groom and his family are from Canada).

Of all my years coordinating weddings, I’ve never hear better toasts! The maid of honor, best man, parents of the groom and father of the bride all gave heart-felt, kind, well-spoken toasts to the happy couple. It was clear from the stories they told, that Martha & Jody are meant for each other and are surrounded by love and support. It was such a pleasure working with both the couple and their incredible families. Heres to your next adventure together!

Kendall + Josh

Kendall and Josh will always hold a special place in my heart.  I clearly remember the day that Kendall, her mom Karen and her maid of honor, Kinsey, came in for a consult.  Not only did we have an instant connection but I just knew there would be something special about their wedding.   As a child, Kendall had always dreamed of getting married at her childhood home, which is also a working farm.  Upon my first visit of the property, my mind was blown with how stunning the location was. Gorgeous views of the countryside, the kind you see in movies with horses running in the background.  It was the perfect spot.

The ceremony was going to take place amongst the field of tall wheat grass and the reception, inside the horse arena on the property.  Now this wasn't any old arena, it was a beautifully built, covered structure where Kendall and her mom were able to ride their horses daily, rain or shine.  Given that the floor was all sand, Kendall's family, along with Josh's had a "flooring party" where they carefully laid plywood to create flooring for the event.

Having a blank canvas to work with, we opted to keep the natural beauty of the building, while adding elements to make it feel more like a wedding venue. For the ceremony, Kendall's father, David made a ceremony structure (out of wood from their original family home), Blum Floral dressed the piece with florals to make it look as though it was growing out of the ground and Letters + Dust even hand painted a quote for the couple. The ceremony had everyone crying tears of joy for the couple, myself included. Oh, and did I mention that guests were escorted to the ceremony by the Sheriff's Mounted Posse??

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the back lawn of the family's home.  After which they made their way to the reception where we hung 3 massive gold chandeliers down the center of the ceiling and used a combination of exposed wood farm tables and round tables with ivory linens. Tall and short floral arrangements of lush ivories, whites and blush florals along with Fruitwood chivaris, gold beaded glass chargers with round menu cards adorned each table. The most amazing night for the most amazing couple and family.

Chic Baby Shower

When Mary throws a party, she really throws a party! I've had the pleasure of working with this family since Mary + Ryan's wedding in 2011 and have planned several parties with them since.  They started as clients, but are now some of our closest friends and I absolutely adore them.

This time around, Mary wanted to do something super special for her friend and past nanny, Kim.  Kim is the kind of person that lights up the room when she walks in. She has a wonderful way with kids, but she's truly just a joy to be around.  I have no doubt in my mind that she will be an amazing mother to a super special little boy. And...can we talk about her darling baby bump?!?!

Mary wanted to go all out and throw a chic garden party brunch at her new home in tones of green, black, white and gold to celebrate the mama-to-be.  Guests enjoyed cocktails (and yummy mocktails too!) and delicious appetizers courtesy of Art of Catering.  With modern sleek white lacquer tables from Vintage Meets Modern, polka dot flatware from Party Place and the cutest place card/pregnancy fact sheet from Crave Design, it was truly an event to remember. I can't decide which was my favorite detail....the custom green chiavari chairs or the super unique vodka infusion station courtesy of Public Provisions! Clearly, this group likes to have fun.

After an over-the-top brunch buffet, guests oooh'd and ahhh'd over the darling baby gifts, enjoyed a delicious cake by Dream Cakes and cocktailed the morning away. Of course, we couldn't forget the kiddos and set them up with their own craft table!  While I do love planning weddings, its so fun to do something a little different, especially with creative freedom!

Nora designed and planned my baby shower and it was un-be-lievable! The attention to detail was seriously amazing. I can honestly say that there is not a single thing more that I could’ve possibly asked for!
