McKenzie + George

From the moment I met McKenzie and George, I knew helping them plan their wedding would be a blast. George was the wild one, who reveled in as many unconventional ideas for their big day as possible. McKenzie was the mellow one, who embraced each of these ideas with a smile and even contributed a few of her own.

Together, they were a perfectly balanced pair, who simply wanted to bring together all their loved ones for a few days of fun and celebration.

During the planning process, McKenzie and George continuously expressed how they wanted to host an event that embodied who they are both as individuals and as a couple; fun, unique and full of surprises. With the help of Nora, George’s sister and the owner of Bridal Bliss, we put together a one-of-a-kind, three-day, wedding extravaganza.

The festivities began Thursday, with an intimate ceremony at an Airbnb in Washougal, WA. Family members gathered around, and McKenzie and George’s nieces and nephews blew bubbles, as the two said “I do”.

After the ceremony, everyone spent time feeding the horses from the farm and enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Crown Paella.

The night ended with bluegrass tunes from Left Coast Country and a beautiful sunset over the Columbia River Gorge.

Bridal Bliss celebrated our unique vision and helped us make it all happen. They quickly became a part of our “team” and my hubs and I felt like winners. The process was easy and fun. Our planner communicated with vendors, troubleshot, determined timelines, removed any headaches and brought it all to life seamlessly.

Emily + Cody

Emily + Cody celebrated their wedding day in their home town of Eugene at Shadow Hills Country Club and it was the perfect setting for their wedding day!

They were married under the golf courses beautiful, old willow tree in a sweet ceremony surrounded by their friends and family.

Good Seed Floral added to the setting by adorning the ceremony arch that was created by the family with rich greenery and lush florals in shades of pinks, mauves and just a hint of deep reds.

Cocktail hour was enjoyed outside on the patio with delicious signature cocktails, tasty appetizers, and fun lawn games

Guests made their way over to the garden and found at their seats a customized sugar cookie with a moon design as a thank you from the new Mr + Mrs. Luna.

B Mac Productions played an amazing mix and the guests danced all night under bistro lights.

Such a great night and huge congrats you two! Thank you for having me as part of your special day!

Darcy + Joey

Darcy and Joey are an UNREAL couple with the best love story of all time. Portland is simply a stop along their journey, as they both work for Nike at the moment, and I feel so lucky I got to meet them along the way!

Originally, Darcy & Joey were to say their "I-do's" on the rooftop of Ecotrust, but 93 degree weather is not ideal for an outdoor ceremony. The switch to hold the entire event at the Armory two days before the wedding was nothing short of amazing and came together beautifully!

The ceremony was intimate and sweet. Their long time friend officiated and there wasn't a dry eye in the house during their vows!

Family style dinner was served and sweet toasts were made. Then came the real party...their four and a half hour dance party!

Throughout the planning process Darcy made a point to make sure their guests would at least have 3 hours of dancing. We did that and more when we got Darcy changed into her sequin jumpsuit and coordinated a flashmob with her 30+ girlfriends. It was AMAZING. I was beaming in the corner so proud of my bride!!

Darcy & Joey, I wish you nothing but happiness on your new marriage. You two are the absolute BEST!

Big thanks to Junebug for the feature!

Robin + Chase

To say that Robin and Chase are one of the sweetest couples I have ever met is an understatement! They were truly such a pleasure to work with, and it was so much fun to have the groom just as involved with the wedding details as the bride!

Robin and her bridesmaids had a fun morning getting ready at Waverly, with their hair styled by Envy Hair Studio, and their makeup done by Blossom & Beauty!

The bride and groom shared an intimate first look at Waverly, followed by bridal party photos with photographer Jen Gardner!

Their early afternoon ceremony took place at St. Ignatius Church, officiated by Father Bob. Father Bob, who is very close with the couple, did a beautiful job of tailoring the ceremony to Robin and Chase's love story!

After the couple was officially pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds headed to Waverly Country Club to celebrate!

Cocktail hour on Waverly's outdoor patio did not disappoint, with signature His + Hers cocktails and a beautiful view of the Willamette River on a sunny summer evening.

The reception was a wonderful testimony to what a lovely couple Robin and Chase are! With rich green tones, breathtaking florals, and favors at each place setting, the reception was undeniably elegant. There is nothing sweeter than watching a couple get the chance to see their reception before the doors open up for guests!

Dinner began with a heartwarming prayer, said by Chase's mother. After everyone had eaten, champagne was poured to toast the newlyweds!

Toasts were followed by first dances, NOLA doughnuts, and an epic dance party, DJ'd by none other than Brett with Encore DJ's!

This group certainly knew how to rock a dance floor!

With the perfect venue for such a sweet couple, Robin and Chase's wedding was one to remember! Robin and Chase, I wish you endless happiness as you start your lives together as husband and wife :)

Lindsey + Roberto

Lindsey & Roberto created the perfect mix of showcasing Portland while nodding to fun traditions. Their intimate and low-key feel created such an amazing atmosphere for the day.

Their ceremony took place at the top of Mt. Tabor among trees and a stunning triangle backdrop adorned with a modern floral touch. Guests were greeted with a cocktail and music by a brass band.

Each chair held a personalized handkerchief that was used in the Second Line following the ceremony. This tradition from New Orleans was so much fun!

Guests followed Lindsey & Roberto as they paraded around the summit of the park with their brass band.

Up next was the reception held at Plaza Del Toro.

Food was the feature here as guests were treated to an amazing family style meal and cocktails. The modern style of the venue lent itself perfectly to the feel of the day.
