Bend Wedding Planner

Amanda + John

Get ready to feast your eyes on this wedding! Kimberly Kay captured the stunning wedding weekend for Amanda and John at Brasada Ranch.

Amanda & John wanted a fun, vibrant and destination weekend for their family friends. With so many of their family and friends traveling from all around the country, we wanted to make sure the weekend was memorable for all.

The two shared their first look beneath the iconic bridge at Brasada Ranch before exchanging gifts.

The ceremony was held on the Range Lawn with the sunshine and stunning backdrop of the Cascade Peaks.

Guests were treated to pre-ceremony bubbles and mini tea sandwiches to kick things off on the right foot!

Cocktail hour followed down on the Trestle Bridge, and then guests were ushered up to dinner and dancing in the barn.

Amanda and John arranged for seating outside which included bright gorgeous flowers from Heirloom Floral and a curated place setting designed by Amanda and her mom - with no detail being left out.

The tables were absolutely stunning.

After dinner guests were invited into the Barn where Curated Events had set up lounge furniture and enjoyed bites & cake from Foxtail Bakery.

Blue Wave Band played hit after hit keeping the dance floor packed!

Needless to say, all the festivities continued late into the night. It was a fun filled ranch wedding weekend! Congratulations again to Amanda & John!

I loved working with Bridal Bliss! I worked with Elizabeth and she made everything so seamless. She was always one step ahead of me and more than happy to help out. She went above and beyond what was required. I would highly recommend!

Shannon + Bill

Shannon and Bill's fall wedding was an absolute favorite of mine! From the get go, Shannon and I hit it off and had a blast planning her and Bill's big day. Every meeting we both got equally excited about her fall color scheme, custom dress by Elizabeth Dye, and their big day at Pronghorn

The ceremony was sweet and intimate in the entrance of the classic golf resort. The fireplace and floral covered mantle was the perfect backdrop for Shannon and Bill to say I do!

Post ceremony, Shannon and Bill snuck off for some amazing sunset photos with the incredible Benjamin Edwards. Guests mingled in the bar area and even found themselves outside on a cool fall evening sitting by the fireplaces. It really was the perfect setting for a dreamy fall day.

Dinner went off without a hitch and guests listened to sweet toasts from Shannon's son and both of Bill's sons. It was so sweet watching two families come together as one!

Blue Wave Band had guests on their feet dancing the night away. It was an absolute perfect night and I couldn't be happier I got to be apart of the celebration. Shannon and Bill, you were two of my absolute favorites! Congratulations on your new marriage!

Megan + Andrew

I knew this was going to be one for the books when I first talked with Megan and her mom. I instantly feel in love with their personalities, style and wedding ideas. Throughout the process we bounced around various ideas, with a vision for clean whites and lush greenery (hello gorgeous!).

They chose Pronghorn for their September wedding and the entire day was absolutely perfection. Megan and Andrew said I do on Event Island at Pronghorn, which overlooks a picturesque scene.

After the heartfelt ceremony guests were invited into a reception tent that had been transformed by Heriloom Floral and West Coast. The tent was made to feel intimate by hanging floral chandeliers and a garland backdrop for the head table.  Guest tables were styled with perfection which included flowers and mixed metallic candles and wood table numbers from Hey Halle

As the sun began to set, guests danced the night away under the tent. Of course after the tent reception, there was an afterparty with pizza and more dancing. What more do you need? It was a perfect day and we were so happy to be apart of it!

Bridal Bliss is AMAZING! When attempting to write this review we did not think it was possible to put into words how spectacular Elizabeth and the Bridal Bliss team were throughout the entire planning process, as well as on the big day. Not only was Elizabeth there for our families every step of the way, she also problem solved before we ever knew an issue occurred, was extremely organized, provided amazing input and brought our vision to life to create what will always be one of the most memorable days of our lives. We cannot thank Elizabeth & Bridal Bliss enough for all you do - this wedding would not have been possible without you!!!

Casey + David

Casey and David were a dream to work with. This stunning couple had an amazing vision for their wedding day and made sure their guests had a good time!

Beautiful sunny Bend offered a gorgeous setting and every detail of this day was sweet and personal – including a surprise beignet station for guests, the couple’s favorite cocktails, beer they brewed themselves, and personalized succulent favors.  The ceremony and reception at Tetherow were set against a beautiful backdrop of mountains and blue sky with beautiful pops of coral flower petals and arrangements throughout.

This perfect day ended with an incredible sunset and dancing up until the very last minute!

Big thanks to Wedventure Magazine for featuring this event!

Worth every penny! They take care of all the tiny details you don’t think about, and they handle everything the weekend of your wedding. I was able to relax with my bridesmaids and didn’t have to worry about a thing. My planner communicated with all my vendors and it took a lot of planning stress of my plate. Highly reccomend Bridal Bliss!

Venue Coordinator vs. Wedding Planner

Bridal | Portland Bend Seattle Wedding Planning + Design | Jessica Hill Photography

"If my venue has a coordinator – do I need to hire a wedding planner?" We frequently receive this question from engaged couples and think it is beneficial to understand the difference. So we are going to dive more into the difference between these two very important roles when it comes to planning a wedding and let you decide for yourself!

Venue Coordinators are employed by a venue to plan your event on behalf of the venue. They take care of quite a few details surrounding the space such as making sure the it is well kept, tables chairs, etc. are set according to your event layouts and serving as the contact for everything food & beverage related. When it comes to the wedding day the Venue Coordinator will be there to maintain the venue facility, turn on the lights, prep the venue staff, and oversee any food service. Typically once meal service has commenced, the Venue Coordinator will depart for the evening and appoint a Banquet Captain to supervise the rest of the night. Banquet Captains are commonly prepped on the venue-side of the event details.  We commonly work with Venue Coordinators throughout planning and on the day itself.

Wedding Coordinators (also known as "wedding planners" are hired by you, the bride and groom, and coordinate your event on behalf of you. We work for the bride and groom, which often can include finding your venue, recommending and booking vendors, negotiating discounts,  reviewing contracts, tracking RSVP's and many more services.  Typically Wedding Coordinators offer different packages, which allow you to select the level of involvement and assistance. Regardless of the package selected, leading up to the event a Wedding Coordinator is there working with all vendors, creating a detailed wedding day timeline and scheduling load-in and load-out with the venue. When it comes time for the wedding week itself, below is a list of what you can expect a Bridal Bliss wedding planner to do.

  • Finalize the personalized timeline and confirm all vendors
  • Run the ceremony rehearsal
  • Direct the ceremony processional
  • Set up all decor and personal items including menus, programs, escort cards, guest book, favors DIY items, etc.
  • Coordinate pinning of boutonnieres and ensuring all VIP's receive flowers
  • Assist with wedding photos and photography shot list
  • Act as the point of contact for all vendors.
  • Assist the wedding party and guests as needed
  • Distribute final payment and gratuity to vendors
  • Provide a fully stocked emergency kit
  • Deal with any unforeseen hiccups
  • Manage the timing of the entire event to ensure the day runs smoothly.

Both Venue Coordinators and Wedding Planners have important roles. While it might be common for one to think these jobs are closely related – they are vastly different and it is important to understand the differences so there are no surprises throughout planning or the day itself!

Celebrating 10 Years!!! | Portland Wedding | Oregon Event Planning and Design

I cannot hardly believe that it’s been ten years since the beginning of BRIDAL BLISS!!  I was a new college graduate (GO ZAGS!), and had just won the university’s annual BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION with my good friend JULIA.  With seed money in my pocket, background planning experience and Julia deciding to live in Seattle, I had a big decision to make….try to work in the industry or start Bridal Bliss right off the bat. | Portland Wedding | Oregon Event Planning and Design

Well, despite encouragement from family to scope it out a bit more…I took the plunge and BRIDAL BLISS was born in the summer of 2002.  What a ride it has been!!  I will never forget my first wedding for Elizabeth & Casey, whom I still keep in touch with today, and are busy chasing after four little ones.  My strongest memories of that night are how I felt at the end….exhausted but exhilarated.  I made the rookie mistake of wearing cute high heels….and I could barely feel my feet on the drive home!  Beyond that, it had been a great day, I had a VERY happy couple and I had the opportunity to work with some of the same talented wedding professionals that we regularly work with today. | Portland Wedding | Oregon Event Planning and Design | Holland Studios

Do you recognize the PORTLAND ART MUSEUM?  This was before the renovation in 2005! | Portland Wedding | Oregon Event Planning and Design | Holland Studios

I would have never imagined that all my time and hard work starting out would have led me to the most amazing and fulfilling experience of my life, and that BRIDAL BLISS would become one of Portland’s top wedding planning firms.  Having the opportunity to truly make a difference in people’s lives while also meeting and working with so many people who have become dear friends is irreplaceable.  I even met my husband six years ago while working a wedding! | Portland Wedding | Oregon Event Planning and Design | Holland Studios

I am so thankful to my friends, family, clients, colleagues and our talented BRIDAL BLISS TEAM for all the love and incredible support these last ten years.  I feel beyond blessed to be able to do what I love and to truly be excited about going to work.  We have afantastic group of women that go above and beyond for all of our clients, and I could not be more appreciative to each of our coordinators for always exceeding all of my expectations and ensuring that our brides and grooms are thrilled with their wedding experience. | Portland Wedding | Oregon Event Planning and Design | Evrim Icoz Photography

In lieu of a big birthday party (and we all know I LOVE a big party!!!), I have decided to make a donation to the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY in honor of our ten year anniversary.  For a bit more about our start, CLICK HERE.
