Natalie + Jordan

Have I mentioned how much I love winter weddings? When the weather is chilly and often bleak, it is a wonderful time to cozy up with the ones we love and throw a great party! Natalie and Jordan did just that.  They chose Sunriver for their venue which already held so many great childhood memories, and turned the rustic Great Hall into an elegant backdrop for their celebration.

Fragrant flowers in shades of ivory, champagne and pale peach were loosely arranged with lush greenery for a dreamy garden feel, and hundreds of votive candles mixed in with chunky ivory pillar candles and gold and glass geometric lanterns added warmth and set the romantic atmosphere. Thoughtful symbolism added subtle personalization to their day: garden roses in Natalie’s bouquet were reminiscent of her grandma’s rose garden; rosemary sprigs at each place setting were a nod to fond memories of times spent in her grandpa’s herb and vegetable garden; the living ivy strewn along the head table was a cutting from the same ivy plant that was used in Natalie’s mother’s wedding flowers. Natalie also continued the tradition of incorporating accents of gardenia into her flowers like her mother had done for her wedding, the intoxicating fragrance connecting to so many fond memories.

After dinner and a luscious dessert bar filled with a variety of treats, guests traded their fancy shoes for flip flops and hit the dance floor! The dance floor was packed all night long, making the patio outside a refreshing escape for guests (including Phil Knight!) looking to cool off. They were greeted with s’mores to roast around fire pits and a whiskey bar for those who wished to enjoy a nightcap. What a party!  Congratulations again, Natalie and Jordan!

When I first started planning our wedding I didn’t think we would need a wedding coordinator. After my first meeting with Bridal Bliss, I quickly changed my mind. I was immediately at ease with the level of customer service and expertise I received in that initial meeting. Being paired with Kirsten was by far a saving grace. She was there for every detail, every meeting and always available to me throughout the entire planning process. She brought our dream day to life. She coached me when I needed coaching, guided me when I needed guidance but most importantly she gave me the ability to bring every detail together to bring this amazing celebration to life. She was our rock on our wedding day and even when things didn’t go perfectly, they did as far as we were concerned because she was always at ease. Our wedding day was one we will never forget thanks to Kirsten and the Bridal Bliss team. If there is one thing I learned throughout this entire experience it’s to enjoy everything that goes into the planning process. The wedding day is amazing but all the memories and moments that go into the planning help create a special bond and many happy memories to look back on. A huge thank you to Kirsten and the entire Bridal Bliss team for making our dreams a reality!
