When I was training for a marathon a few years ago, my brother sent me a song to sync up and listen to while I would be running up the biggest hill. It not only completely pumped me up, but stuck with me and I think of it when I’m feeling pretty amazing about life. That song, “The Best Around” from The Karate Kid (you laugh…but it is a a great song!!) could have been my theme song a few weeks ago at OREGON BRIDE MAGAZINE’s “Best of Bride” awards.

The general public voted BRIDAL BLISS into the finals for “Best All Around Wedding Vendor,” “Best Wedding Planner” and “Best Day-Of Coordinator.” From that point, the wedding industry took over and made the final decision on who would be named “Best of Bride” with another round of voting. I am so thrilled to share that we won in all three categories we were nominated! We have been named “Best of Bride” since 2006 (the year the awards started), and I have to be honest, it doesn’t get old! I am so honored and appreciative to everyone that takes the time to vote for us. The love and support over the year from friends, family, clients and fellow wedding professionals is truly overwhelming.

While we are happy to be in the background executing events, it is fun to be recognized. That being said, I must pay credit where credit is due. Our company would not be the best if it wasn’t for the TALENTED TEAM that make up Bridal Bliss. Each one of these women brings something special to the table and never cease to amaze me with their talent, creativity, and commitment to our clients. It truly is a spectacular team.

This year’s big event was held at THE OREGON GOLF CLUB, a Bridal Bliss favorite. We had the opportunity to help coordinate and execute a VINTAGE CARNIVAL themed party with Heather Matheny, an OREGON BRIDE veteran. From Rum & Coke’s in vintage bottles, to carnival games, to an amazing dessert display, to aerial dancers, to fab and festive decor, it really turned out great….despite the weather deciding not to cooperate.
