Emma + Derek
Encountering a love like Em and Derek's is truly rare, and I am so lucky to have crossed paths with them and be a part of their story. They are so sweet and genuinely one of a kind, so becoming a part of their family for the past year was a treat!
Bright, pastel garden florals and lush greenery curated and arranged by Busara Flora filled Liljebeck Farms and adorned their wooden structures. Derek and Em said their vows surrounded by family, friends, and an abundance of lilies- just like they wanted! Em envisioned a Bridgerton inspired French garden party, and we just had to make it happen! The Washington rain had its own plan when it moved us inside, but Em and Derek didn't let that dampen anyone's mood, especially their own.
After the ceremony, guests were welcomed to cocktail hour with the cutest signature drinks; Aspen's Royal Barktail and Nikko's Cosmic Pawtini. It also wouldn't be a Greek cocktail hour without mini Gyros and Chicken Souvlaki skewers, courtesy of Twelve Basket Catering. Along with the personal Napoleons by 12basket, guests also enjoyed Honeycrumb's chocolate cake with Turkish Coffee buttercream after dinner. Nikko and Aspen were still present at the function in chocolate figurine form!
Derek's cousin, DJ Dave, brought the party. I loved that it was a family affair; he took requests and kept the party poppin', calling stationary uncles out left and right! Sometimes, all you need is a little push to have a whole lot of fun. Em and Derek, I am grateful for the time we spent planning together, and I can't wait to see what your future holds.
