Sanda + Cooper

I remember first meeting Sanda and Cooper at their beautiful home for our initial consult. After a few weeks of looking for venues, they decided to get married at their own home! I was excited to not only to get to create something out of the magical space, but I've always loved when there is a special meaning to a venue for the couple. Trust me…their home did not disappoint!

Sanda had a vision all while letting me have creative reign. We tied together vintage, modern and playful elements to make their day special and I don't think we could have been more thrilled with how it all came together. Sanda, wanted to incorporate some of her Jewish elements into the wedding, so the couple said their vows under a Chuppah that Blum enhanced with a floral, while Melissa Coe performed the ceremony.

For cocktail hour, guests enjoyed stunning views of the Willamette River from the back patio while enjoying delicious appetizers and beverages by Art of Catering.

Dinner was held in their front lawn, under the "stars" and cafe lights, provided by Greenlight Creative.  Long white wooden tables and round linened tables accompanied ghost chairs and fun yet edgy china and black flatware. A combination of blue and orange goblets with colorful florals were arranged on each table, with a family style dinner that kept bellies happy!

After dinner, guests made their way to the back of the house for a special surprise! Sanda performed a song for Cooper before starting the epic dance party with music by The Essentials. Also, did I mention Sanda's dress?! Local designer Sonia Kasparian outdid herself with this stunner of a gown, veil and headpiece. Sanda was breathtaking!

I absolutely loved working with these two and hope our paths cross again soon. Cheers to the happy couple!

XOXO, Katy
