Caroline + Will
When Caroline + Will asked if I would help plan their wedding, I was so excited. I've had the pleasure of working with Caroline's group of friends many times and they are the sweetest crew. The girls were close friends from high school, performing as Blazer dancers together and more currently as workout buddies! I knew the day was going to be high energy and so much fun!
Caroline + Will are such a special couple and their love for one another was so clear throughout planning and the wedding day itself.
The festivities took place at a newer Portland venue, Irving Street Studio, located in the Pearl District. It was the perfect blank slate for the vision that Caroline had, with a cool industrial Portland vibe. The ceremony was located in the main event space, where Seventh Stem and Bridgewood Event Rentals created a modern yet romantic scene. The ceremony backdrop was filled with whimsical greenery, blush and cream florals as well as pops of lush and fluffy wine toned peonies. It. Was. Stunning.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd while the couple exchanged their personalized vows. Caroline + Will's friend Darrell officiated and included some sweet words about Caroline's mother, who had passed away just weeks prior.
After, guests were escorted to the beautifully lit atrium for cocktail hour, the ceremony space was transformed into a whimsical, intimate reception.
To kick off the next portion of the evening, Will surprised Caroline with a handwritten rendition of Human League's Don't You Want Me, that he performed in front of all of their guests. She loved it and everyone's jaw was on the floor!
After the delicious family style dinner served by Art of Catering and beautiful toasts, Dancehall Days took the party to the next level and kept guests dancing through the night. I was lucky enough to chat with SIX of our past brides in attendance and even snagged a few of the gorgeous burgundy peonies to take home.
It was such an honor to be a part of their special day, a night that we will never forget! Congratulations Caroline + Will!
