Marissa + Ben

I just knew I wanted to be Marissa + Ben's planner when I first met with them. They had been guests at a previous wedding I had coordinated plus we instantly connected-- Marissa is also from my hometown and it turned out that Ben is from a town I visited a lot growing up.

Both Marissa and Ben wanted to be involved in the details of planning and I had such fun meeting with them to talk about the personalized details they envisioned (and created!) to incorporate into the space-- from the handmade wooden bars and signage to the copper mug escort cards at each place setting. The World Forestry Center was the perfect setting for their stunning wedding with it's amazing ceiling beams and wooden walls.

Foraged Floral created the most beautiful installation that filled the ceiling with loose vines of smilax hanging from the beams to create a natural and overgrown look. Tiffany then adorned the ceremony arch that Ben made with the same greenery plus rich burgundy, dusty pink, and mauve blooms. It was absolutely stunning! After a very memorable ceremony (with the lights coming back on half way through), guest enjoyed drinks and appetizers by ChefStable in the foyer and on the patio.

Guests were invited back into the transformed Miller hall where dinner tables were set with wooden lanterns and greenery plus copper mugs for guests to enjoy at the His + Her Mule Bar that opened after dinner. There were so many memorable moments at Marissa & Ben’s wedding and I am so thrilled that I got to be a part of it. It really was the best day celebrating these two! Huge congrats, I am so happy for you and your life together!
