Christina + Chad
Planning a wedding with a client that gives you creative freedomis such a fun and exciting experience. Christina & Chad wanted a wedding that was unique, special for their guests, beautiful and a real party. The event, coordinated by NORA, certainly didn’t disappoint! We planned Christina’s sister wedding several years ago, so we were beyond excited to work with this sweet family again. This wedding was also featured on WEDDING LOVELY!
There was a key design piece that we incorporated throughout the entire event from the save the dates, to programs to napkins…an elegant and chic monogram. We even had it adorn the custom round ceremony stage that Christina & Chad stood on as they said their vows. The gray, yellow and white color scheme was perfect. The hues were even included in the large round balloons we brought in from some lighthearted wedding party photos. It was fun until Chad let his go before we were done shooting!
Christina & Chad returned down the aisle after the recessional and released row by row while greeting each of their guests.
My favorite focal piece was the stunning floral tree. The talented florist spent hours constructing and perfecting the gorgeous ceremony backdrop and guests couldn’t stop gushing. Well, that and the stunning 12-carat diamond broach (in the shape of a bow) purchased by Christina’s Great Grandfather for her grandmother’s 16th birthday.
I also loved how Christina incorporated quotes that struck her throughout her engagement, which she had kept and saved. She named tables after authors and personalized each table’s menu cards to feature one of those special quotes. She really put thought into her event and personalized it to represent the couple and their life together.
A huge hit at the reception was a dessert display with a special ice carving featuring the couple’s monogram and slots to have standing cake pops. We couldn’t refresh them fast enough.
So many wonderful vendors worked this special event and Christina, Chad and their families were an absolute joy to work with. I love how the day unfolded and how beautifully all of our details came into place. The event was flawless and Christina & Chad were glowing all night. Even better? The couple became pregnant with their first child almost immediately after the wedding!
