Annie + Colin

When you meet a bride who has both incredible style and is extremely organized, you just know her wedding is going to be amazing. That is how I felt the first time I spoke with Annie on the phone.  She had a clear vision of she wanted out of the event, and I was so excited to help her execute what would turn out to be a fantastic weekend filled with love and celebration.

Annie, Colin and their families selected SoDo Park by Herban Feast as their venue.  And although most couples who get married there play up its industrial look, Annie chose to bring a different aesthetic to the venue.  Her vision, which included a neutral palette of whites, nudes and grays brought both an elegant and modern feel to the space.

Guests took their seats under a canopy of white fabric streamers illuminated by dozens of candles, before our bridal party including Annie's niece and nephew (who were complete show stoppers!) made their way down the aisle.  Annie in a gorgeous Luly Yang gown and her dad followed, Colin's dad, Jed officiated this special moment, in what was arguably one of the best ceremonies I have ever heard.  My personal favorite part was when he asked Annie's parents and his wife to celebrate the connection of their families - something I had seen throughout the planning process, and a very special moment for them all.

After an emotional ceremony, guests were ready to celebrate!  Cocktails were enjoyed before we moved into the dining room which had been beautified by the talented Flora Nova team, rentals from both Cort and Fanciful Rentals, and paper goods by Robinson Paperie.  As our amazing dinner, provided by Herban Feast came to a close, we enjoyed several toasts and a heartfelt thank you from Colin and Annie.

Our next event - cake, was made even more special as Annie changed into a custom-designed Luly Yang jumpsuit (that was to die for!).  Our cake was cut and the dancing began!  The 9's killed it, with guests only breaking for a quick picture in the Photo Booth or a snack break - Dick's Burgers!

The night ended much too quickly, as I had so much fun helping Annie and Colin bring their vision to life.  I feel truly lucky to have had an opportunity to work with such an amazing couple, one whose lives are already filled with so much happiness and love.
