Maria + Matthew

Working with Maria and Matthew was an absolute joy. They wanted a wedding that truly reflected them, and by layering bold design, unique food service, and personal details, their day felt both stunning and unforgettable.. After years of visiting the Pacific Northwest, they knew the Willamette Valley’s vineyards offered the beauty and spirit they wanted for their celebration. Alexana Winery became the perfect setting, with it's sweeping vineyard views, modern architecture, and an atmosphere that feels both elevated and welcoming. Although the weather didn't cooperate for us on the first day of Summer, Maria and Matthew didn't let it get the best of their special day.

For the design, we leaned into vibrant color with Stradley Davidson linens that added rich texture to the reception tables. Their palette of blues, greens, and purples was playful yet sophisticated, bringing depth and energy to the winery backdrop. Lush, colorful florals tied it all together, creating a look that felt fresh, elevated, and very personal to the couple.

Instead of a traditional plated dinner, Maria and Matthew hosted a New Orleans–style reception with food stations placed throughout the evening. This layout encouraged mingling, movement, and a lively flow to the night. Their classic wedding cake provided a timeless focal point, while a Grateful Dead–inspired groom’s cake brought in personality and surprise.
