17 Unique Seattle Wedding Venues

Every single day, our team of Seattle wedding planners is asked about our recommended Seattle wedding venues.  It’s always hard to choose favorites, but these are a few of ours!

If you’re a couple who loves the Pacific Northwest region, and you want to secure a magical spot for your wedding, this is your go-to guide for 17 truly unique Seattle wedding venues that are beloved by both locals and out-of-towners alike.

(And, of course, if you would like some guidance in choosing the best wedding venue in Seattle, contact us about full-service wedding planning).

Seattle Tennis Club

Seattle Tennis Club is an iconic Seattle WA wedding venue that has been around for 125 years — and counting. It’s a modern, elegant facility, featuring generous, well-lit event spaces like the Ballroom (seating up to 200) and the Gallery (accommodating up to 60 guests).

If you book this venue, your event reservations also include details like tables and chairs, linens, service ware, china, votive candles, and other inclusions like projectors, podiums, grand pianos, and microphones.

However, in our opinion, the true star of the Seattle Tennis Club is the North Lawn. Getting married and exchanging vows against the sparkling shores of Lake Washington with stunning backdrops of the Bellevue skyline and Mt. Rainier is just incomparable.

Its rolling lawns and beautiful gardens can host up to 400 of your cherished friends and family. If your heart is set on a Seattle outdoor wedding venue, this spot should be at the top of your list.

Fairmont Olympic Hotel

There are two words we’d use to describe this unique Seattle wedding venue: regal and historic. In fact, the iconic interiors and exceptional, detailed service of the Fairmont Olympic Hotel are all about keeping up traditions.

If you’re booking this historic wedding venue in Seattle, you can expect wedding packages that are designed to be luxurious and opulent. This means butlers, passed hors d’oeuvres, deluxe bar service, three or four-course plated dinners, and custom wedding cakes.

One thing we love about this downtown, centrally-located venue is that it’s incredibly accessible — your guests can enjoy plenty of other activities within the hotel, like the fitness center, spa, or oyster bar. They can also take a two-minute walk to the Space Needle or the Seattle Art Museum.

Within the venue, the decor and ambiance are just as unforgettable and elegant as the site itself: the Fairmont Olympic Hotel offers three absolutely gorgeous ballrooms for your special day. The Spanish Ballroom and Foyer, for example, features Palladian windows, crystal chandeliers, and generous round tables with gold chairs.

Meanwhile, the Garden room offers a more open-concept layout with warm, mahogany wood walls and marble flooring. Finally, you can choose to enjoy your event at the more modern Metropole, with standing tables, deep oak wood beams, and cream curtains. These rooms have their own capacities, which differ based on seated or standing table arrangements. Your guest list can be as small as 170 or as large as 480.

Arctic Club

Think about how it might feel getting married at the Sistine Chapel or a breathtaking, grand old opera house in Austria. Yes, that’s the ambiance and interior facade of the Arctic Club Seattle, a truly unique Seattle wedding venue that was established in the 1900s as a place where travelers from the Yukon could board and lodge.

If that sounds like it would make the Arctic Club a modest and “rustic” spot, it’s not. This National Historic Registry landmark building was built with gold rush money — and it shows. The exteriors feature the most wildly decadent flourishes like terracotta walruses, Rococo motifs, and plenty of Old World, stained glass, floor-to-ceiling windows.

The pièce de résistance, however, rests in the main ballroom, known as the Northern Lights Dome Room, which can fit 250 guests. It will blow you away with its leaded glass dome ceiling that converges like a cathedral overhead, complete with a larger-than-life crystal chandelier and a plethora of carved motifs.

If you aren’t planning to have as many guests, book your wedding at the Dome Room - South, a 100-year-old, newly restored event space that offers you views of the skyline and historical frescoes.

Once you’re done gawking at the jaw-dropping accommodations and the venue’s unique historical flourishes, you’ll be pleased to know that the DoubleTree’s staff works with you and offers full service details. This includes custom menu planning, linens, glassware, flatware, votive candles, valet parking for guests, and options to host your engagement, rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower in one of their other elegant event spaces.

The Admiral’s House

Looking for a wedding venue that is intimate and classic?  How about The Admiral’s House in Seattle, a historic property located in Magnolia.

Standing like a beacon on a hill, this incredible, picturesque property is truly a one-of-a-kind Seattle outdoor wedding venue, featuring vast, green grounds, stunning city skyline views, access to the water, and a gorgeous, covered reception area complete with market lights and classic white-and-black tiled flooring.

The main house does look quite a bit like the U.S. Naval Observatory — and for good reason! This is one of the most historic wedding venues in Seattle, playing residence to over 30 U.S. Naval Admirals since the year of its founding, in 1944. If exchanging vows at a venue that has rich American history and gravitas matters to you as a couple, The Admiral’s House is for you.

There are a couple of things to note about this venue. As beautiful as it is to host your reception with views of Mt. Rainier and the Needle in the distance, the house sits on top of a hill. That means your guests will need to park at the bottom and either get a venue-arranged shuttle or opt for a valet.

When you rent the property — and its 280-person capacity — you’ll have it all to yourself all day long. Your vendors can come at any time, and there are large, expansive suites within the house for wedding guests, bridal rooms, and areas for the groom’s party.

Your reception can go up to midnight, which is far longer than other Seattle outdoor venues. However, you’ll need to rent and arrange all the details, including tables, linens, tents, catering, and lighting. The Admiral’s House also requires you to have a day-of wedding coordinator at the very least — no exceptions.

Four Seasons Hotel

Some of the best parts of getting married at a Seattle rooftop wedding venue are the sunset views of Elliot Bay and Puget Sound, right at the start of the deep blue waters of the Pacific. That’s what you can expect if you book the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle.

It’s a central location, which is perfect for you and your guests if you’ve never had the chance to take in those classic Seattle sites. This location is just one of the gems nestled in the collection of Four Seasons hotels around the country.

The Four Seasons Hotel wedding venue in Seattle.

The Four Seasons Seattle is a classic venue that is always in demand for a reason. The Four Seasons has several venue options for your wedding day, starting with its elegant and decadent ballroom, holding up to 500 guests, down to more intimate options like the Sycamore Room, designed for up to 140 guests.

No matter which event space you choose, you’ll have access to stunning views, an open-air terrace, custom and curated wedding packages, detailed consultations, menu planning, and accommodations — if that’s what you wish. Wedding services at the Four Seasons also include linens and decorative elements for banquet tables, your wedding cake, and floral arrangements, to name a few.

Great Hall at Union

Station

The Great Hall at Union Station is just one more reason we absolutely love weddings in Seattle WA. There are just so many innovative, iconic, historical, and reused spaces that get to see new life as a wedding venue.

One of these is the Great Hall. And, yes, this fantastic Seattle wedding venue is in a train station. Ever wonder what it would be like to have Grand Central in New York City all to yourself? Well, the Great Hall at Union Station is about as close as you’ll get to that.

Located in the heart of Pioneer Square, the Great Hall is exactly what it sounds like: a cavernous, jaw-dropping hall full of industrial, turn-of-the-century romance and charm.

Large, vaulted ceilings, complete with soft light, brick exterior, old Roman clocks, cornices, and austere, polished marble floors give this venue a truly opulent atmosphere. You can draw a lot of inspiration from the Neo-classical architecture if you’re not quite sure what “theme” or decor you’d like to settle on.

This venue is so striking and memorable that it’ll set the tone for every single design decision — for example, champagne, gold, and emerald green are colors that work well with the venue.

Similarly, you can choose centerpieces or even your wedding dress based on the glamor and elegance of the 1910s or even the irreverence and decadence of the 1920s. For lovers of vintage weddings in Seattle, take advantage of the stunning acoustics of the Great Hall by dancing to some classic swing music.

This Seattle wedding venue has more than enough space for the ceremony, reception, and dance floor. It also includes a bridal area. The food and beverages are handled by the venue’s exclusive caterer, and they must approve all decorations before the wedding.

The Great Hall at Union Station can comfortably accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Wow!

Swiftwater Cellars

One of the definitive perks of getting married in the Pacific Northwest is the majestic mountain ranges that serve as a backdrop for a picturesque wedding.  Seattle wedding venue Swiftwater Cellars takes full advantage of these views and embraces the beauty of the PNW.

Couples booking at this gorgeous venue will absolutely love being nestled in the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains.

The venue offers incredible views, grassy knolls, and modern but rustic buildings carved of planked wood and aged stone. The owners at Swiftwater, the Watts Family, have really infused that “Italian countryside” feel with the rugged PNW landscape and its origins as a coal mine.

Swiftwater Cellars is the perfect weekend getaway for wedding guests who want the feel of a destination wedding without spending an arm and a leg to plan and coordinate one. Since it’s only a 90-minute drive from Seattle, it’s close enough to be accessible for vendors and guests, but still “far” enough that you (and your guests) will feel like you’re leaving town for a special occasion.

There are a couple of outdoor spaces you can access when booking at Swiftwater Cellars. First up, there’s the Cantina, which looks and feels like something out of “Under the Tuscan Sun,” with tall ceilings, exposed wooden beams, stained concrete floors, and stunning Fresco-like painted walls. The large arching double doors open up to the northern patio and Garden Room, which makes this spot just right for intimate ceremonies, up to 120 guests.

There’s also the Tipple Hill Gazebo, which is surrounded by tranquil gardens and overlooks Tipple Hill as well as the Rope Rider Golf Course — and those sweeping mountains, of course. The guest capacity for this gorgeous outdoor area is 300.

Finally, couples looking for an indoor venue space will love the Garden Room, the Swiftwater Room, and the Black Diamond Room.

Each of these spaces has its own unique vibe and function. The Black Diamond Room, for example, accommodates only 22 individuals, which makes it perfect for the rehearsal dinner. Meanwhile, the Swiftwater Room accommodates up to 250 and features beautiful winery equipment and ambient lighting.

There is plenty of charm and special nooks and crannies that make Swiftwater Cellars a really unique experience.  We love planning an event that uses multiple spaces. For example, we could set up a cigar bar in the barrel room, which is always a favorite, while doing your cake-cutting upstairs.

We can also bring in specialty rental items and decor pieces that allow us to transform the style of the entire space. While it does lean towards a more “rustic” aesthetic, the spaces are flexible enough that we can tailor them to your vision.

PRO TIP: Due to the popularity of the venue, make sure to book surrounding accommodations early.  Look for accommodations within walking distance of the venue for convenience.

Roche Harbor

Located just a couple of hours from the city, the Roche Harbor is a wedding venue near Seattle, specifically located at San Juan Island. Like The Admiral’s House, Roche Harbor is a unique, historic wedding venue property that’s nearly 130 years old. However, there are far more options for lodging, accommodations, and amenities available for couples who want to experience a kind of “home away from home” destination wedding.

Roche Harbor offers a variety of options for where to stage your reception and ceremony, including the Garden, the Chapel, and the waterfront itself. Their attentive and experienced staff will help you with all those nitty-gritty details like menu planning, layout design, timeline, setup and breakdown of rentals, food servers and bartenders, and rehearsal and ceremony concierge services.

Included in their packages are cocktail and dinner tables, linens, catering equipment, china, fireplaces and firewood, patio furniture with heated umbrellas, projectors, PA systems, and all the staffing you’ll need to coordinate these details.

The “Sunken Garden” holds up to 300 guests, while the Chapel can accommodate up to 130. If you’re planning to go for a stunning, unforgettable reception, the Seaside Lawn is perfect for 251+ guests, while the Pavilion and Courtyard welcomes up to 250. Note that the Seaside Lawn only has July and August availability.

JM Cellars

JM Cellars is one of those private wedding venues that makes you feel as if you, your honey, and your family and friends are the only people in the whole world.

Intimate, iconic, and special, JM Cellars is a winery located on a quiet, picturesque hillside on more than 7 acres of lush, idyllic nature. Imagine ivy-covered walls, ceremony areas nestled in actual forests of pine and firs, soft walkways, warm lanterns, and, of course, more wine than you might need.

JM Cellars outdoor wedding ceremony in Seattle

While JM Cellars is designed to accommodate up to 120 guests, even a wedding with 50 guests will seem magical in these unique, natural settings. Pricing differs based on the package you choose and the time of year you’ll book. However, you’ll have access to the stunning winery and arboretum, JM Cellars’ proprietary furniture and rustic decor, indoor and outdoor wood and propane fireplaces, as well as guidance on menu tasting, wine pairings, and wedding rehearsals.

See the amazing range of what this wedding venue can become in the many weddings we’ve planned at JM Cellars.

Woodmark Hotel

Couples who choose the Woodmark Hotel as their Seattle wedding venue are often looking for two things: incredible views of the waterfront and the chance to host an outdoor wedding.

The Woodmark Hotel offers five distinct wedding spaces, making your wedding day memorable and comfortable for your guests.

There’s the Olympic Terrace Tent, which seats up to 230 and is a favorite for ceremonies and receptions. You could also choose the Lake Washington Ballroom, which is intended solely for receptions or the Marina Ballroom, which takes a modern twist on a nautical theme and offers an open-concept layout that backs right onto Carillon Point’s marina. It’s a little bit of the outdoors right inside for you and your 120 guests.

For those who love the Marina Room but want something more intimate, the Woodmark Hotel also offers the Bayshore Room, which features the same kind of focus on the marina but for weddings with up to 50 guests. If a casual, garden-type reception is more your jam, the Great Room, with its cozy patio and fireplaces, soft seating, and access to the lake, is perfect for you.

Insider tip from our team: You have an option to cruise out on the water post-event, and we recommend you take it!  What a wonderful way to have a truly private moment at your wedding.

Alderbrook Resort and Spa

It’s called a “resort and spa,” but Alderbrook is like its own little secluded getaway. Situated right on Hood Canal, this enclave of woodsy cottages and luxury suites makes it the perfect accommodation for couples who want to “get away” without getting too far away.

Alderbrook is located quite close to Potlach State Park, giving it incredible views of the Olympic Mountains and the perfect backdrop for some stunning wedding photos.

Booking Alderbrook as your wedding venue gives you access to a couple of exceptional details. First, the entire aesthetic is an interesting blend of woodsy and outdoors-y, but also nautical. This helps it appeal to so many different aesthetics and gives you the flexibility to be creative with your wedding theme or decor details.

Second, the non-traditional aesthetic of the venue also makes it the ideal spot to get creative with welcome parties and rehearsal dinners. Besides the spa amenities, there are a host of activities on-site, including boat cruises, shopping spots, and golfing on the nearby course.

Alderbrook Resort and Spa wedding venue on the Hood Canal in Seattle

Alderbrook has multiple ceremony and reception locations to choose from. Once you’ve conducted your ceremony on the terrace or even staged against the water (which is a couple-favorite), you’ll have a choice between the Olympic Ballroom and the various spaces across the large waterfront lawn for your reception.

Summers are perfect for outdoor weddings on the lawn, which has a max capacity of 250. If you choose the indoor ballroom for a winter wedding, you can accommodate up to 185 guests.

We encourage couples to look at both the Ballroom and the Waterfront Lawn as blank canvases that we can partition, design, and decorate with romantic and thematic rentals. We have a lot of open space to play with, and we can transform both areas into your exact vision.

PRO TIP:  We highly recommend Alderbrook for couples who want to create a full “weekend getaway” experience for their guests, to show off the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Woodinville Lavender

You may have heard of a little place in France — Provence to be precise — where lavender grows in rows upon rows in fields. But the good news is that you don’t need to grab a ticket across the pond — not when Woodinville Lavender is a prime Seattle wedding venue.

The words “romantic,” “peaceful,” and “Seattle’s best-kept secret” come to mind when trying to describe the beautiful, purple fields, the lush, green grounds, and the tall rows of pine trees organized in neat hedges for a truly intimate and magical experience.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best Seattle outdoor wedding venues you’ll ever see.

Woodinville Lavender is located in the Sammamish River Valley, just 30 minutes from downtown Seattle, so your guests can enjoy a quick drive into town. However, it also enjoys direct access to the greater Seattle area so they can go exploring. Because of its dreamy, flowered gardens, this is quite a popular wedding venue for elopements, by the way.

If you’re planning to invite your friends and family, however, you’ll have plenty of options. You can choose between the Valley View Room and the Farm Terrace Patio, both of which offer absolutely magnificent views of the Sammamish Valley, the lavender fields, and the grounds.

Your booking with Woodinville Lavender also offers you the following perks:

  • Private patios

  • Gable cafe lights

  • Bench seating (for lovers of rustic, farm-inspired weddings)

  • Setup and clean-up

  • 10 hours of venue use time

Decor rentals, including such details as custom wine barrels, wooden farm tables, and fresh cut or dried lavender bundles

Chateau Lill

If you’re looking to be whisked away to another country while remaining near Seattle, you can do it! How about a little French countryside flair at Chateau Lill in Redmond, WA?

The facade, layout, and flora around Chateau Lill instantly put you in mind of a classic French Chateau — and that’s really what this Seattle wedding venue is all about. However, it has the added benefit of being nestled in the lush, green PNW, so there are old-growth trees, romantic, secluded bridges, silent, magical streams, and a bevy of natural beauty all about.

Chateau Lill Seattle wedding venue

Couples who want to blend the indoors with the outdoors and the modern with European charm will love this villa venue. There is a range of specific spaces you can hold your reception and ceremony, so how you want to organize that is entirely up to you and your partner’s vision. For example, many couples choose to exchange vows in the gorgeous, rustic gazebo. Others want the romantic, intimate ambiance of the wine cellar for their ceremony instead.

No matter what arrangement you choose, Chateau Lill can help you bring it all together. The property has a Barrel Room, a Grand Room and Salon, and an open-air tented terrace, which is the perfect spot for a reception.

Other areas with stunning backdrops for wedding photos include the forest cathedral Ceremony Lawn, the vineyard, the Chateau tower (how crazy is that?), and that magical pond that looks like it came straight out of a fairytale.

Whether you’re eloping with two witnesses in tow or you’re planning a grand affair with 200, Chateau Lill offers guidance on rentals, caterers, flower arrangements, and decor. It’s also incredibly accessible, located just 30 minutes from downtown Seattle, 15 minutes from Bellevue, and 10 minutes from Redmond.

Broadmoor Country Club

While more “traditional” than some of the other Seattle wedding venues we’ve seen so far, the Broadmoor Country Club remains a popular choice for couples who want to take advantage of the sprawling grounds and attentive staff on-site.

The course itself borders Lake Washington and the Washington Park Arboretum, so you and your photographer will have absolutely no trouble capturing some truly stunning vistas. The greens themselves are easily walkable and provide a nice, open ambiance for couples who want to enjoy a traditional Seattle outdoor wedding venue.

Broadmoor’s staff is extremely detail-oriented and works closely with the couple to organize menus and lawn and ceremony space setup. When you’re ready for your reception or cocktail hour, you can book their formal dining hall, which features beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows, modern decor, clean lines, warm wood flooring, and a fantastic dance floor.

The Rainier Club

The Rainier Club’s tagline is “Not your typical venue,” and it definitely delivers. This Seattle wedding venue began its history as a storied mansion and clubhouse. Its multi-storied, elegant interiors, complete with 14 rooms and Jacobian-inspired 1920s exterior brick design, make it a completely unique and novel Seattle wedding venue.

If you’re looking to book your wedding at The Rainier Club, you’ll be able to accommodate up to 250 guests. The venue’s staff is absolutely unparalleled, going above and beyond for couples.

We love The Rainier Club as a Seattle indoor and winter wedding venue, with space for both an indoor ceremony and reception.

Chihuly Garden and

Glass

What’s the only thing better than getting married at an outdoor art gallery or museum? Exchanging your vows while surrounded by 100-foot-long glass sculptures of stunning, unique design, all in vibrant and striking shades of green, reds, oranges, and ambers, constantly and subtly shifting in the light!

And then, imagine heading for your reception to a 40-foot-tall arched glass enclosure that towers overhead and gives you the perfect view of the expanse of botanical gardens and otherworldly artistic creations as far as the eye can see.

Welcome to the brainchild and vision of the artist Dale Chihuly. Chihuly Garden and Glass is a one-of-a-kind venue for couples who want to infuse the fantastic, artistic, and creative into their special day. The even better news is that these original pieces are sure to inspire your own decor choices and set the stage for the most stunning wedding photos.

Besides options for ceremonies, receptions, and cocktails seating anywhere between 300 and 700 guests, you can also enjoy the outdoor grounds, the art gallery itself, and beautiful panoramas of the city.

And, because it’s located right at the base of the Space Needle, your guests will be able to access quite a few of Seattle’s other iconic sites, like the Olympic Sculpture Park or Discovery Park.

The Club at Snoqualmie

Ridge

The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge is a sprawling modern chalet that sits right against the Cascade Mountains, perched at the top of a hill.

From the staff to the event space, the details at Snoqualmie Ridge are designed to take full advantage of the fact that you’re at an outdoor wedding venue. With the beautiful main hall, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, breathtaking views of the mountains, and end-to-end planning services, you’ll be able to enjoy your wedding day to the fullest.
