Tanya + Robby | Rehearsal Dinner

Tanya + Robby's rehearsal dinner was Carla's (Robby's mom) dream come true. I've had the pleasure of working with Carla on several events, including her daughter Melissa's wedding back in 2014 and she makes an amazing planning partner.  Since meeting, we have talked about an epic sports themed rehearsal dinner when Robby found the one.  Well, he did, and Tanya was happy to let Carla and I run with it! Avid Gonzaga fans (and an alum myself!), we decided to incorporate the Zags as well as the Ducks, Tanya's alma mater.

I cannot begin to tell you how much fun I had creating this event.  We pulled out all the stops, and were very careful to not cross the line from creative to cheesy! My absolute favorite details were the foam fingers that served as place cards (Hey Halle nailed it!), the delicious gin cocktails in gatorade bottles, the surprise breakdancers, and the bracket seating chart!

Upon arrival, guests were greeted by Puddles the duck and Spike the bulldog, and entered under a balloon and floral walkway into The Evergreen. Guests enjoyed pork belly skewers, sliders, and pretzel-wrapped hot dog bites (passed by "referees" nonetheless), and then sat down to a lovely family style meal. The table settings were adorned with double thick menus that included both mascots and red edging, rally towels and faint mascots painted in white on white ceramic vases.  Not overly noticeable, but we had to tie it in!

After the surprise entertainment, unforgettable toasts and a captivating video with old photos, guests continued to mingle, enjoyed an epic dessert display (how about that cake that Dream Cakes created?!?), as well as an cookie dough cart.

It really was the perfect night, and Carla and I (and Tanya!) couldn't have been more excited about how it all came together. Stay tuned for all the gorgeous wedding details in our next post!
