Kaity + Jake
Kaity and Jake got engaged in the summer of 2020, and decided to ride the wave of all the COVID craziness, and wait to get married until the end of the summer of 2022. It is safe to say that the wait was well worth it, with the sweetest celebration at Oswego Hills Vineyard and Winery on August 21, 2022.
Kaity and Jake loved the venue for its indoor and outdoor spaces, its sprawling views and its close proximity to the Portland area, where both the bride and groom grew up. Guests enjoyed a short but very sweet ceremony given by the groom's uncle, overlooking the property's lush vineyards.
Following the ceremony guests enjoyed an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, with fun and festive Mexican-themed appetizers. Can I get an amen for Mexican food at a wedding!? Kaity and Jake wanted guests to serve food that they love - the DIY taco bar from Pearl Catering was a HIT!
After dinner, the sun dropped behind the hills and guests enjoyed the most amazing sunset - truly, you couldn't have dreamt up something more perfect. It was the perfect late summer evening, with a sky full of pinks and oranges and blues. Indwell Weddings captured the day perfectly and this sunset was the icing on the cake.
Kaity and Jake - you two are such genuine, kind souls. I was honored to get to be a part of your special day, and wish you two the best in your new home in Michigan as Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher!
