Channa + Charlie

What can I say about Channa and Charlie's wedding? Well, for starters, it was everything. And I mean EV-ER-Y-THING! With an incredible line of vendors, a gorgeous venue and a wonderful family to work with. No detail was left untouched. You all should know how much I love a wedding at the Portland Art Museum - especially when we get to incorporate multiple cultural elements.

It was important to Channa and her family to honor her Korean heritage and we pulled out all the stops. The day started with Channa and Charlie saying their vows in front of their family and friends to a Western Ceremony decorated with beautiful and lush white floral. During cocktail hour the couple changed into their traditional Korean attire while we transformed the ceremony space and brought in traditional Korean Ceremony elements- also changing out the color scheme of the ceremony to blues, reds and whites.

For the reception, guests made their way upstairs to the Kridel ballroom. As they walked off the elevator, they walked through a tunnel of lights, where they found their seating assignments. As they walked into the ballroom, there were multiple floral chandeliers throughout the room, but let's not forget the showstopper- a 15' in diameter floral chandelier that hung over the dance floor- dripping in crystals and orchids. TO DIE FOR!

Tables were covered in gorgeous linens provided by BBJ Linens, alternating looks per round or long tables, tall and short, candle filled floral arrangements in whites, creams and touches of blush. Art of Catering treated guests to an amazing plated dinner that featured many great Korean flavors. For late night treats, we put together stations featuring Korean "street food" - with everything from Ramen to mini bibimbop boxes.

It was so much fun to see everyone having such a great time all while the couple and family were able to enjoy themselves!

XOXO, Katy
