Sarah + David

On my very first zoom call with Sarah in early January, I knew her wedding day was going to be an extra special celebration filled with family, friends, and an exciting new chapter full of love. When I asked what the vision for her wedding day would be, Sarah described a beautiful June day filled with romantic florals, pops of eucalyptus and blush with Stoller Vineyard as the perfect backdrop to say “I Do!” So with an amazing team of vendors by our side, I knew this was going to be a gorgeous day we would never forget!

If anyone remembers early June in Portland, they know it wasn’t our usual sunny and 75 forecast, but instead gave us an extra few weeks of wet and rainy PNW showers. On the Monday of wedding week, we decided to move forward with a tent for the ceremony on Stoller’s Experience Center lawn. After a stormy rehearsal at the vineyard, I remember Sarah looking at me and saying, “I really think the rain is going to hold off for the ceremony tomorrow!” Although I loved her positive outlook, I wasn’t so sure the weather would agree. To everyone’s surprise, wedding day arrived and despite a few early morning sprinkles, the clouds parted and the sun shined down just in time for Sarah and David to tie the knot.

Sarah — you may just have a future as a weather woman!!

After an incredibly heartwarming ceremony performed by Sarah’s childhood pastor, guests made their way inside the Experience Center where long tables filled with gorgeous Brier and Ivy florals filled the space and sparkling candles created the most romantic ambiance for the evening. A delicious plated dinner transitioned into toasts from family and friends and left not a single dry eye in the room (myself included!). The real show stopper of the evening, however, was Sarah’s oldest daughter, Maci, performing “You Can Count on Me” as the sweetest surprise for guests. After a much deserved standing ovation, the new family shared their first dance together before guests hit the dance floor where DJ Chad kept the party going all night long.

To cap off the most perfect wedding day, an epic sunset made an appearance and became a stunning backdrop for an all-guest group photo in the vines. Meagan Gibson jumped into action and captured so many stunning shots, including one of my all time favorite photos of the season:

Congratulations to this gorgeous new family! I am so honored to have taken part in such a special celebration and wish you all the best in this exciting next stage of life together. Cheers to the Bakers!

XOXO, Ari
