Katie + Connolly

How do I even begin to share about how much I loved working with Katie and Connolly for their wedding? From our first meeting, I could tell how genuine and sweet their love is and it made working with them an absolute pleasure. As a bonus, I also got to work closely with Katie’s parents, Ann and Matt, who were hosting the wedding at their gorgeous residence on Whidbey Island.

Like almost all couples in 2020, Katie and Connolly’s plans had to change and adapt to all of the new rules and regulations due to COVID19. They responded to all of the changes gracefully and were able to plan an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family.

Whidbey Island couldn’t have been a more perfect location for this celebration of love. The property sits at the top of a bluff with a gorgeous view of the water. We were able to set up two large tents outside on the grass to allow guests to safely socially distance and be able to stay dry from our unpredictable northwest weather. Luckily, the sun stayed out for most of the day and the bluff views provided a stunning backdrop for the ceremony. Flowers were provided by Tobey Nelson Design , local to Whidbey Island, and were the most lovely touches for the event.

Following the ceremony, guests were able to spread out on the property and enjoy mingling while listening to great tunes by BB Santiful. It was obvious how much Katie and Connolly were completely smitten with each other for the entire day! The toasts at the end of the day showed how supported and loved the couple was by all of their family and friends. Of course with our typical northwest weather, the rain eventually arrived! Luckily, the guests were able to spread out under the tents to stay dry before the evening completed.

There wasn’t a moment that I noticed where Katie and Connolly weren’t absolutely glowing. Their smiles showed their excitement for the day - and gratitude that they got to celebrate their love despite all of the changes that had to take place for them to get there. It was such a joy to help make their day everything they dreamed of and I wish them a long marriage full of happiness, unconditional love, and pure bliss.

XOXO, Frannie
