Seattle Wedding

Ali + Jimmy

As a wedding coordinator there are some brides that you just 'have' to work with.  For me this was Ali, but it also included her mom, Elaine and sister, Lauren. I include all three of the them as they were together when I met them and could not stop laughing as all three of them are hilarious!  Elaine, and Lauren were integral in all parts of planning, and I had so much fun working with them.

Ali shared with me the look she and her (also amazing) fiance Jimmy were going for. They had selected Alderbrook for their reception venue, as it was just down the beach from Ali's family cabin on the Hood Canal.

Rather than going along with the classic PNW this seaside resort offers, Ali and Jimmy selected an off-season month, November and played into the moody feel that this wooded wonderland can provide.  Although we wanted some masculine elements - bringing in a steer head, antlers, custom wood chairs (made by the bride's uncle!), we juxtaposed those elements with opulence - gold trim on the Robinson Creative House paper goods, tons of candlelight, BBJ velvet linens, and of course the most mazing palette of greens and unexpected florals from Gather Design.  Our take on a Nordic Lodge truly came to life!

And before we knew it the wedding day had arrived!  Still smiling from the last two days of celebration the ladies were dolled up by the incredible Anne Timss and team.  Ali looked in amazing in her first of two gowns (her dad, Mark's pick - a stunning blush Sareh Nouri gown). Our ceremony was held at St. Edward Catholic Church just a few miles away from Alderbrook.  Back onside at the resort guests were met with cocktails and fresh oysters (Pop-Up Oyster Bar). Dinner kicked off in the tent (with Ali in gown two!), where guests dined, and celebrated the newlyweds.  The entire evening was capped off with an epic dance party (Bamboo Beats), ice cream sandwiches and late night snacks, and a photo booth (The Snap Bar) - all captured by the incredible Sullivan and Sullivan.

The entire weekend was one of celebration. After checking into the hotel guests boarded Lady Alderbrook where they sipped champagne on their way down to the Market, At the Market they were treated to a classic cookout, and charmed with toasts by their bridal party. Ali and Jimmy also took time to recite their vows to each other as they wanted to share them with their closest family and friends. It was hard to believe that was only night one (we had that much fun!). Friday our guests had a chance to relax and enjoy the picturesque setting before joining us for drinks and snacks as a thank you for traveling to be with us for the weekend.

Brunch followed the next morning, where Ali and Jimmy hugged and thanked each guest on their way out. It was an amazing weekend, and one I am so thankful to have been a part of! Congratulations Ali and Jimmy, and thank you to Seattle Bride Magazine for the feature!

Kristi + Freddy

I had the privilege of working with Kristi several years ago and it was during this time that I got to know how special she truly is. One of my favorite parts about her was her love for all things glamorous. Her desk was decked out in shades of pink, champagne and gold showcasing glitter and shine wherever possible!

Fast forward to wedding planning, and we had to of course incorporate some of these same elements! Kristi and Freddy selected The Four Seasons Seattle as their venue, which could not have been more perfect for this glam couple.

Guests were wowed the minute they stepped into the hotel as Seattle Floral Design and The Prop Gallery had transformed the entire venue.

From start to finish every element of the day felt so unique to this special couple.  From the darling slideshow with pictures of each member of their bridal party to the toasts made to Kristi's parents (who share the same Anniversary!) to the special appearance of their fur baby, Kobe, it all showcased their love for each other and their friends & family perfectly.

Guests enjoyed every minute as they were wined and dined by the extraordinary team at The Four Seasons. They all crammed in for multiple rounds in the Fun Frames photo booth, and danced the night away, under the spinning talents of DJ Miguel from Classic Joints Production. All of this and so much more was captured by our amazing photographer, Wiley Putnum who also was there for their traditional tea ceremony the week prior!

It was a day filled with joy and happiness I could relive it over and over again.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day Kristi and Freddy!

Ashley + Jared

As a wedding planner when you get the opportunity to work with one of the coolest couples, and amazing vendors in a gorgeous setting it is pretty much a dream come true.

Ashley and Jared picked Bella Luna Farms for their August 25th wedding.  And unlike most couples who get married there, who love the traditional dinner under their sailcloth tent, Ashley and Jared thought about their guests and what experience they wanted them to have.

Given that many guests would meeting for the first time (a very fun blend of west and east-coasters), they opted for a celebration that included both traditional and non traditional elements.

Their ceremony pulled in some of the more traditional elements as the wonderful, Rabbi Sarah married them under a floral embellished chuppah created by Amy of Gather Design Company.

From there guests were encouraged to wander the property, enjoying oysters from Pop Up Oyster Bar, and amazing food stations presented by the team at Upper Left Catering.

Each food station was intentionally positioned through out the venue giving guests an opportunity to see all that it has to offer, including a grape house, a family of darling goats, and an onsite creamery - just to name a few!

Rounding out their journey through out the farm, guests made their way to the tent where they were entertained with the most endearing toasts, a glam photo booth and an epic dance party.

And of course we couldn't let guests go home without one more surprise! Frankie and Jo's provided many guests with their first plant-based ice cream treat, a favorite of the couple's!

Ashley and Jared it was an honor to get to be a part of your special (and gorgeous!) day.  And thank you to Seattle Bride who featured this amazing couple in their Spring/Summer edition.

Phoebe + Sean

When the sweetest people you know are getting married it's going to be one for the books! Phoebe and Sean were so fun to work with during wedding planning and I loved their school theme!

Guests were dropped off Lakeside School for the ceremony, which holds special meaning to the bride as she once went to school there and her father is currently the headmaster.

The ceremony was officiated by Phoebe's mom Killian and as guests left there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

After the ceremony guests were invited to the lunch hall, which was had been transformed into a gorgeous reception with beautiful string lighting by Greenlight Events. Place settings included jewel tone blooms and Kate Spade-esque place cards.

The evening was complete with fun school touches like a chalkboard seating assignment board, a wonderful meal catered by the school chef, and yellow school buses to pick up guests at the end of the night.

Pressure Point Band kept the guests entertained & dancing all night with the amazing Bellagala team capturing every little moment.

A sparkler send-off ended the amazing evening for one amazing couple. We loved being apart of it - thank you Phoebe and Sean!

Leah + Adam

When I first met Leah and Adam, I knew their wedding was going to be special.  Not only were these two clearly so in love (the best!) they also had a wonderful approach to planning their big day.  They wanted it to have some unique touches and cared about the finished product, but they also didn't take anything too seriously and had fun along the way.

We picked Chateau for their late September wedding, and I could not have imagined a more perfect setting.

As guests arrived at the Chateau they were welcomed to the upper lawn for beautiful ceremony officiated by Annemarie Juhlian.  A very enthusiastic groom, tears from the best man and the most excited family members all set the tone for the night ahead.

Following the ceremony guests moved around the pond where they were greeted with trays of cocktails, passed appetizers and my favorite part - a custom cheeseboard created by the Herban Feast team, before they headed into the tent for dinner.

An already magical tent was made even more beautiful by the talented Amy Ly of Gather Design Company (flowers) and Camille Robinson of Robinson Paperie (paper goods) who hand painted their menus! Dinner was served family style and accompanied by paired wines.
