Kate + Kyle

Kate and Kyle's wedding weekend will be one I never forget -- specifically because we planned and replanned their celebration almost 6 times!! That's right 6!! Back in 2020 Kate and Kyle made the decision to push their larger wedding celebration to 2021 so that more of their friends and family could join in for an epic bash! The lovebirds still wanted to tie the knot, so we planned for a small elopement at St. Mary's Cathedral and the Racquet Club for an intimate dinner reception.

Fast forward to 2021, we knew we had to go all out for Kate + Kyle's May reception. The weekend of events actually kicked off with a Bridesmaids Brunch for Kate followed by a Rehearsal Dinner complete with flowing greenery and a family-style meal before the big day got underway. Kate even chose to wear her elopement dress from 2020 as a sweet homage to the couple’s previous celebration the year before!

After a few location changes during planning, we finally landed on a stunning private residence as the perfect secret garden oasis for family and friends to watch the couple exchange vows on wedding day. This was officially the longest aisle I ever saw a couple walk down, but it made for the most epic wedding entrance of all time and the perfect way to finally see these two sweet families become one. Blum Floral Design enhanced the beauty of the space with stunning arrangements and glowing candles while Greenlight Creative made sure the entire night sparkled with uplighting behind the hanging wisteria of the house.

Amanda K and Watertown perfectly captured all the magic of the day, including the STUNNING custom vinyl bar from Letters + Dust that matched the floral linens from BBJ and the entire color scheme and design of the day. Jojo from Dream Cakes even found the most perfect way so tie in the floral appliqué from Kate’s wedding gown into the design of the cake — compete with this jaw dropping floral display table!

Sweet toasts, musical numbers (yes you read that correctly), dancing, and celebrations filled the evening as Red Letter Players kept the party going all night long for guests to celebrate under the stars. It was the perfect finale to months — actually years, of planning this extraordinary event and I am so happy to see how it all turned out. Kate and Kyle, thank you for your positivity, flexibility, and wonderful strength throughout this process. I cannot thank you enough for letting me be a part of such a special event in your lives and I wish you nothing but the best in married life together!

XOXO, Nora
