Tori + Carter

I have been lucky enough to know Tori for many years—we met when I worked with the Opsahl family on her sister Libby's wedding back in 2015! Tori and I stayed in touch and laughed about the trials and tribulations of her dating life over the years.  This girl was a catch, and finally, someone worthy of her caught her! Enter Carter, whose family I also had known for many years! The two met at church and it was a match made in heaven.

Carter + Tori were great at making decisions and had a vision for their day at Portland Golf Club. Unfortunately, halfway through planning Carter's father Mark fell ill and tragically is no longer with us today.  One of his wishes, before he passed, was to see Tori in her dress, knowing that he most likely would not make it to the wedding and refused to let them move it up. Completely in secret, we set up a photo shoot at Amaterra, where the rehearsal dinner was taking place. It was so special and meaningful and I was honored to be a part.

After life settled down a bit, we hit the ground running and tied up every last beautiful detail. Now mind you, this was a family affair. Tori's sweet mom Suzie and dad Joe, lovingly nicknamed "George" (from George Banks, from Father of the Bride) played a big role and were very proud parents.

When the perfect August day finally came we were ready! The excessive heat had finally subsided, the lush white and blush aesthetic was perfect at the club and Tori even snuck some of her signature fuchsia into her bouquet. Guests were welcomed to PGC with a Kir Royale as they made their way down to the first tee box for the ceremony. The couple was beaming all day and after the personal and meaningful ceremony, cocktails and apps were enjoyed outside. When it was time to head in, a bagpiper walked through the greens and led guests to the ballroom. This was a surprise to Tori + Carter by “George,” as a homage to Carter's heritage.

Inside, the ballroom was dripping with florals but the big focal point was the beautiful wedding cake by Dream Cakes and the chandelier above that was adorned with blooms. Guests drank and dined and danced the night away with Event Team Entertainment leading the way.

We ended the night with Cool Sparks and it truly was such a special day. I was so happy to help bring some joy to both of these families, as there had been so much loss and sadness the months prior. Tori + Carter, and their families, are such special people and I was thrilled to be a part of another Opsahl wedding.  Cheers to the newlyweds!

XOXO, Nora
