Ande + Michael

Ande and Michael are two of the sweetest people and I could not be more thrilled to share pictures from their stunning wedding day, captured by Jessica Hill! The wedding is extra fun as I have known Ande's family for many years, growing up with cabins next to each other and then becoming friends at the University of Portland. So when Ande asked me to plan her wedding, I was over the moon!

The day was pure bliss as Ande and Michael said "I Do" at First Presbyterian Church. Followed by a fun cocktail hour at Jackknife.  As the sun began to set, guests were welcomed to the 4th floor of the Sentinel Hotel in the Governor Ballroom. The room was perfectly designed for a fall wedding. The colors were dark and romantic, with candles glowing in the room. Blum Floral Design knocked it out of the park with the flowers bring in lush fall leaves and gorgeous blooms.

As the night carried on guests ate, drank and danced the night away (thanks to the rocking guys from Precious Byrd). It was a night to remember and I loved being apart of it. Thank you Ande & Michael for including me in your special day!

Leslie + Robert

When Coos Bay sweethearts Leslie and Robert first recruited Bridal Bliss to help plan their wedding a few things were clear to me -- guests would be greeted at the ceremony with a glass of Champagne, there would be an open bar, the food would be delicious, and elegance and fun would define the look and feel of the entire celebration.

Finding the perfect venue was a beautiful compromise. Robert had his heart set on a golf course, while Leslie envisioned an exquisite ballroom. So we created a putting green inside a ballroom! The golf theme continued throughout. Specialty cocktails were inspired by golfing greats -- “The Hole in One”, “The Garden City” and “The Mother of Pearl” (the official cocktail of The Masters!) -- and each table was named after a golf course where Robert and Leslie had played.

Playing off the dramatic elegance of the ivory and navy blue ballroom, dinner tables were arranged in large Xs and Os and lush ivory florals of dahlias, roses, ranunculus and hydrangea, with simple touches of eucalyptus greenery added romance to the chic ivory and gold table settings. Each guest was greeted at their place setting with a mini cupcake, in a nod to Leslie’s passion for cake. It was the perfect sweet treat to nibble on as Leslie and Robert were introduced into the ballroom and started with a beautifully

Dinner was as lavish and delicious as imagined, and then the party only escalated! After heartwarming speeches it was time to kick off the dancing, including a special Polynesian dance performed by Leslie, her bridesmaids and the women in her family, and later a traditional Samoan money dance with both Robert and Leslie dressed up in full regalia! Undoubtedly the highlight of the evening.

It was such a pleasure to bring Robert and Leslie’s vision for their wedding to life. Surrounded by their friends and family, blending Polynesian and Oregonian histories together, and witnessing the start of a new chapter in their lives, I couldn’t have been happier to be their planner. Congratulations again, Robert and Leslie!

Leah + Ryan

Pretty much from our first meeting I knew that Leah & Ryan along with Leah's mom, Charlotte, were going to be amazing clients. They were so sweet and excited about wedding planning from day one. After landing on The Old Church & Sentinel for the wedding day - plans began to fall into place.

Working with Blum Design, Leah's color palette of green, gold, blush and marsala came to life. Incorporating garden roses, ranunculus, anemones, dahlias, blackberries, and more - the flowers stole the show.

Paired with lots of candles, the ballroom at Sentinel was glowing on their wedding day. Palomino hand calligraphed individual plates for each guest in a gold metallic pen - putting a personal touch as guests were welcomed to their seats.

One detail that often gets overlooked at wedding is the kids table. With such a large family on Leah's side - Charlotte and Leah spent time personalizing and decorating the kids tables. Details included custom wedding coloring books, personalized cups, all the art supplies you could imagine, movies, stuffed animals, snacks and more. Even adults wanted to be at the kids tables.

The evening was perfect. Guests enjoyed heartfelt toasts, a personalized slideshow video from Charlotte, and delicious late night snacks. Chad Dowling kept guests on their feet dancing the night away to classic hits. Ending the night with a colorful balloon send off. We loved being apart of this sweet couples wedding and Yasmin Khajavi captured their love and sweetness perfectly!

Brooke + Tom

Brooke + Tom (and Brooke's mom!) were so wonderful to work with and I truly enjoyed getting to know them throughout the planning process! They knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding day and chose First Presbyterian and Sentinel's Governor Ballroom as the perfect settings to celebrate. Brooke envisioned a soft, elegant look with white, pink, and navy details and assembled an amazing team of vendors to create it!

After a sweet ceremony at First Presbyterian, they were announced into dinner to cheers and congratulations from their friends and family. It was amazing to see how much these two love each other and the support they have from their friends and family as they start this new adventure together. Huge congrats to this wonderful couple!

Bridal Bliss was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish my coordinator Meghan was incredibly responsive, helpful and fun to work with. She always gave me great advice on vendors, wedding etiquette and so much more. She was incredibly accommodating with our meeting times seeing as I work full time and my Mom, who wanted to attend the meetings, lives out of state. When we first started wedding planning my Mom and I both agreed we want to be carefree and enjoy the wedding day without worrying about details. Meghan and her team far exceeded that wish! We had the partial planning package so she coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure they knew where to be and when so we didn’t have to coordinate. The day of the wedding my Mom and I were so relaxed and at ease knowing she was there. The whole day was so perfect and I credit so much of that to having Bridal Bliss to guide me to great vendors and of course coordinate the entire day. I tell all of my engaged friends that having a wedding planner was the smartest thing we did when it came to wedding planning. I would absolutely recommend Bridal Bliss!

Lauren + Damin

Damin & Lauren from day one had an amazing vision of bringing the feel and layout of a park into the Sentinel's Governor Ballroom. As we dove into wedding planning this theme was so much fun to execute and made for one memorable event!

Memorial Weekend weather can be hit & miss here in Portland. But for Damin and Lauren the weather was perfect. It was sunny, warm, and a slight breeze. Their ceremony was held at the Oregon Historical Society, and within 5 minutes of starting the ceremony the patio was completely covered in shade. I would like to thank my planning skills made this possible, right? The ceremony was absolutely beautiful as Lauren walked down an aisle completely covered in rose petals designed by Blum

After the ceremony and cocktail hour guests were invited to walk just a few blocks over to the Sentinel for dinner and dancing. Brittany Hampton helped make the walk extra memorable by providing custom maps showing the walking path. And to make sure no one got lost, each block had their logo colored in chalk, directing them through the city.

As guests made their way to the reception, they were welcomed into a beautiful park-like ballroom. There were a dozen 14 foot trees in the ballroom, arching over doors and tables, creating an intimate feel to such a grand room. The tables were designed down to the last little detail of ribbon - tying the napkin. As the evening unfolded guests were kept on their toes with little surprised throughout the night.

Some of my favorite details included, a strolling boozy coffee cart - guests were offered different liquors to be added to their cup of coffee, Pips Doughnuts - serving up some tasty late night snacks, and caricature drawings for those guests who wanted a fun sketch.

Their wedding was so special and the pictures show just how much fun everyone had too!

Jessica + Steve

I met Jessica through my husband’s work years ago, so when she asked for my help in planning her wedding to Steve (in 4 months!), I couldn't have been more honored.  The couple opted for a ceremony at First Presbyterian (one of my faves) and then a lavish reception at Sentinel - I mean, how could you go wrong with that combo?!

Guests arrived at the church on a beautiful, sunny June day. As they were seated for the processional, Jessica's friend and Opera singer, Sarah Burns, sang while being accompanied by Duo Con Brio.  The aisle was covered with an ivory runner, a single fuchsia peony hung on pew ends and the altar was adorned with three tiers of floral arrangements.  Blum did a fabulous job transforming the church into fuchsia floral heaven. The ring bearer (Jessica & Steve's darling son, Ryan) may have stolen the show for the ceremony, as he sat in a wagon decorated with greenery.  He was the cutest 8 month old in a tuxedo you will ever see!

After the ceremony, guests made their way to Sentinel's Renaissance Room for cocktail hour, where another trio played music as guests enjoyed Jake's famous crab cakes and andouille sausage bites- a nod to Jessica's Louisiana roots. As the party transitioned into the Grand Ballroom, guests were greeted with a glass of bubbly with an escort card affixed. The room was lit with warm amber uplighting, the stage was covered in garland, and floral was hung at various heights to create an epic backdrop for the band. To top it all off, a classy lounge area by Classic Vintage was provided to give the guests a quick break from dancing. The lounge was accessorized by colorful pillows, mercury votives and a fabulous gold armadillo which sat next to the French mirrored white bar.

During dinner and throughout the night, guests enjoyed music by the talented group, Leisa Hart & Soul Territory, who kept the dance floor hot and packed all night long! The evening was one to remember!

Rwand + Nabih

It was such a delight to help Rwand and Nabih with planning and coordinating their Arabic wedding. They are the most darling couple, with a tight knit family who couldn’t wait to celebrate!

Their party did not disappoint. Set in the majestic Governor Ballroom at Sentinel Hotel in shades of silver, pale pink and white with luxurious flowers on the tables and cozy lounges tucked into the corners of the room, the focus was nonetheless on the dance floor! Guests entered on a red carpet, paused by the photo booth to snap a picture to add to the scrap book, and then found their seats at their tables in preparation for the zaffe, a grand processional of the bridal party and announcement of the bride and groom led by a traditional Palestinian Dabke dance group. It was not long before all the guests were on the dance floor, celebrating with Rwand and Nabih as their DJ and drummer delivered infectious beats with high energy. It was a night to remember, with friends and family from all across the globe. Congratulations, Rwand and Nabih!

What do you get when two bright, happy, cultural families meet for a grand celebration of two college love birds??  The GORGEOUS wedding of Nikki & Mahbodd.  These two were an absolute pleasure to work with.  Both so happy to be planning together and excited to throw one heck of a party with all of their friends and family.  They were married at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic church in Lake Oswego.  With 12, yes 12, attendants on both sides, the church was filled to the brim with support for the couple.

Guests then traveled into Downtown Portland for a fabulous reception at The Sentinel Hotel's, Governor Ballroom. Sophisticated Floral decked out the room with stunning floral arrangements popping with purple and maroon dahlias. Guests snacked on traditional Persian sweets, made by the groom's family, while Event Team Entertainment  played a mix of pop and Persian hits!  This was such a wonderful day to be a part of and you better believe it went well into the night.  Congratulations Nikki and Mahbodd, I have no doubt you will live a long, happy life together!
