Portland Wedding

Stacy + John

Stacy & John were the sweetest couple.  They planned a majority of their wedding from out of state so Arlette, John's step-mom, took the lead.

It worked out perfectly, as the festivities took place at her stunning home and perfectly manicured garden! "Garden" doesn't quite describe it...the property was modeled after a European garden and it was immaculate!

This wedding had to go off without a hitch, as John's father also happens to be my father's boss!! Thankfully, it did.

The day flowed effortlessly and the ceremony was so meaningful, especially when the couple's three kids took part.

With rain looming in the forecast, we had to execute our weather plan and bring in quite a bit of tenting. The girls from Seventh Stem did an absolutely amazing job adorning the tents and really tying it into the overall design scheme.

When all was said and done, we were all so happy that we brought in tents as the lighting and hanging greenery was drop-dead-gorgeous!

Guest cocktailed around the pool and then enjoyed a delicious dinner and heartfelt toasts under the glowing wedding tent. DJ Zimmie started the party poolside with a sparkler first dance and the festivities went into the wee hours!

Stacy + John--it was a pleasure getting to know you and your family.  Congrats to you both!!

Bridal Bliss was exceptional in helping us plan a perfect garden wedding for our son. The wedding was at our home and so organized I was completely able to enjoy the whole day, it was flawless! The attention to detail, communication with vendors and follow up after each meeting was impressive. Meghan and Nora went above and beyond to put together a rain plan and tent that ended up being magical with chandeliers , candles and hundreds of white roses. They were always so professional and lovely to work with. We are now currently working with them a second time for our daughters wedding! I would highly recommend Bridal Bliss to help you plan your perfect wedding day.

Christine + James

Christine + James were so wonderful to work with and I truly enjoyed getting to know them throughout the planning process! They knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding day and chose Redland Family Farm as the perfect setting to celebrate.

As they got ready for their first look and photos, the excitement was contagious. They could not wait to see each other and were all smiles the whole day!

Christine envisioned a soft, rustic look with greenery, blues, and white details and assembled an amazing team of vendors to create it!

As guests arrived they mingled under the giant oak tree before being invited into Redland’s white barn where Solabee had created a cascading ceremony altar piece filled with texture and greenery inspired by modern style.

To finish the look, a wooden cross was placed in the center that had been used at past family weddings.

It was such a sweet and heartfelt ceremony to witness as these two said I do.

Cocktail hour was enjoyed outside in the courtyard before guests made their way to family style farm tables set under the oak tree.

Solabee lined the tables with long garlands of eucalyptus filled with lots of texture from blue thistle and white blooms.

Christine + James were announce into dinner to loud cheers from their friends and family. It was amazing to see how much these two love each other and the support they have from their friends and family as they start this new adventure together.

It was a perfect summer evening with a delicious dinner by Pearl Catering that was followed by touching toasts.

Event Team Entertainment then kicked off the party by inviting everyone back to the outdoor courtyard for their first dance and kept the dance floor packed all night.

Huge congrats you two, I am so happy for you-- Thank you for having me as part of your big day!

Bridal Bliss is amazing to work with! We worked with Meghan and she was literally on top of every single detail I could have ever thought of (and many that I never would have thought of)! I would say one of the most easily justifiable expenses of our wedding and had so many amazing returns through quality vendor recommendations, discounts, and expertise.

Evie + Sean

I absolutely loved working with Evie and Sean! It was clear from the beginning of our planning that the two adored one another and envisioned a simple, yet elegant wedding day surrounded by their loved ones.

Evie and Sean chose to be married in a traditional Greek ceremony at Holy Trinity Greek Church, and after saying “I do”, they headed downtown Portland in their vintage getaway car.

Everyone then made their way to Portland Art Museum for cocktail hour and the reception. While the bride and groom took photos around the park blocks, guests sipped on cocktails and enjoyed views of the art museum’s sculpture garden in the summer sun.

The reception took place inside, where the white columns and classic design of the sunken ballroom were accented by amber lighting and simple greenery.

The absolute highlight of the décor was the meaningful fig tree centerpieces that Evie and Sean prepared for each table.

Along with each tree, there was a card that read, “In the 1960’s, Evie’s Grandfather, Pappou Sotiris, brought a cutting of a fig tree inside a shoebox from his village, Plataies, Greece to Portland; however, upon arrival, US Border Patrol quarantined the “plant material.” After certification and release, it was planted in his home in the SW Hills of Portland. Years later, the tree was transplanted in Dalton and Keti’s yard, where it continues to thrive, in a small way to honor Pappou’s memory, we rooted cuttings earlier this year to share as centerpieces tonight…”

At the end of the night, guests were also invited to take a fig tree home with them.

Vibrant Table served dinner family style, and while everyone enjoyed their food, Evie and Sean made their way around to each family table to personally thank everyone for coming to celebrate with them.

After toasts and the official dances took place, the dance floor and photo booth were open for business. I will never forget the moment that Bryce with Event Team Entertainment proclaimed that the dance floor was open; it was a mad rush to get on your feet, and not a single person remained in their seat!

The energy in the room was infectious, and everyone loved the mix of current dance music, wedding classics, and class Greek song.

Heather + Peter

When I first met Heather I instantly fell in love with the vision of her wedding. I was so excited to be part of her and Peter’s day!

We had so many little details to think about while planning that I couldn’t wait until the big day!

On June 16th, Heather and Peter said “I do” in front of their closets friends and family.

The ceremony was everything you could of hoped for, romantic, sincere with a hint of humor. Kevin Yell really performed a beautiful ceremony!

After the ceremony guests were greeted to delicious appetizer from Jake’s Catering.

They were also treated to a gorgeous room full of details that really brought Heather’s vision to life.

After dinner, Heather and Peter danced into the night and enjoyed wonderful sweets and treats from Luxe Sucre!

Thank you Heather and Peter for allowing me to be part of your day! It was one for the books!

Jen + Stan

Jen and Stan were an absolute pleasure to work with.  This couple had a general idea of what they wanted, and let me run with it.

They are super mellow and really just wanted to throw a fun party with all their friends and family.

Honor Flowers created a simple greenery arch for the ceremony with just enough to serve as a backdrop but not too much to hide the gorgeous view.

After the emotional vows, guests were ready to party with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres (including Waverley's legendary maple bacon!) and a big dinner.

With the reception being held at Waverley, we let the setting speak for itself and adorned tables with tones of white, green and pops of apricot and gold.

Jen, a member of Notre Dame's national champ soccer team (and one of the school's most celebrated athletes!), was toasted by four of her teammates.  A super memorable part of this wedding is watching three of the gals having a complete laughing attack while the fourth recited a poem. It was so sweet to see how close everyone was after all these years and the whole room was in stiches!

Post laughs and tears listening to all the toasts, Jen, Stan and their guests danced the night away!

I loved getting to you know both--wishing you love and happiness for years to come!

Sandy + Kyle

Sandy + Kyle celebrated their wedding day at Sentinel Hotel and it was the perfect setting for their romantic and elegant wedding details.

It was a perfect Portland summer day. After their first look, Sandy and Kyle went around the city to take photos with their bridal party.

They were married in the hotel’s green accented Billiard Room beneath a beautifully draped Chuppah accented with coral, peach, and white florals.

Guests were then invited into the Library Room for cocktail hour featuring Berry Agua Fresca as Sandy and Kyle made their way to the Fireside Room for a traditional Tea Ceremony with their families.

For dinner, guests made their way upstairs to the Governor Ballroom where Blum Floral had adorned tables with a mix of pretty arrangements filled with orchids, roses, and hydrangeas.
