Kristina + Matthew

Kristina and Matt were married at Mt. Hood Organic Farms on a beautiful summer day in June. Their love for the outdoors and the beauty of Oregon was reflected beautifully! The ceremony overlooked Mt Hood, family blew bubbles with Buzz Lightyear bubble blowers, and Kristina stole the show in a gorgeous ombre blush gown.

After the ceremony guests played lawn games and enjoyed yummy apps and drinks by Cultivate Catering before snapping group photos in front of the picturesque mountain. As guests made their way inside for dinner they were greeted by gorgeous ombre pink and blue menu cards by The That Binds and lush ivory and pink floral from Bloomsbury.

After a delicious family style meal and a fantastic Mt Hood replicated cake by Lux Sucre, guests danced the night away to music provided by Chad Dowling. Kristina and Matt's love is one of a kind and it was reflected in the love and laughter that filled the room throughout the evening. Thank you, you two, for letting me be a part of your big day.

Molly + Connor | Portland Wedding | Oregon Event Planning and Design | Ashley Forrette Photography

From the moment I met Molly and her mom Teresa I knew this wedding was going to be fun, classic, and incredibly gorgeous.  Molly and her groom Connor picked two perfect venues with a ceremony at Sacred Heart, which was Molly's home church growing up, and reception on the gorgeous grounds of Waverley Country Club. Guests arrived at Sacred Heart where they were greeted by gorgeous music from Notes of Celebration and a full Catholic Mass preformed by Fr. Bob, who is a close friend of the family.

Once at Waverley, guests mingled on the lawn while enjoying delicious bites from the venue catering staff and the gorgeous views of the golf course.  As the dinner bells rang, tables drenched in crisp white and delicate green florals and shiny gold votives from Swoon Floral Design filled the room.  The couple also used their escort cards as an opportunity to write personal hand written notes to each of their guests.

The evening was full of heartfelt toasts, continuous music and dancing from 5 Guys Named Moe, and yummy french quarter beignets instead of cake. Ashley Forrette Photography and J and M Media were able to capture touching moments and sweet dance moves - some even accentuated by LED tambourines.  There was not a single detail missed by this sweet and loving couple.  Molly, Connor and Teresa, it was such an honor to help bring your wedding dreams to reality.  We wish you a fantastic future and know you will go far.

Ashley + Dincer

It's funny how life works! Ashley and I have crossed paths at many different times over the last 15 years. It started at the University of Portland and from there Portland kept us in touch in various ways. When Ashley got engaged she emailed me about helping them plan their wedding. What I didn't know is how much fun I would have with her on this journey! Ashley and Dincer are two of the most fun loving people. They have a sense of humor & zest for life that kept us laughing throughout all of wedding planning.

They landed on The Benson Hotel for their wedding day, which provided a glamorous backdrop to their spring wedding. As guests arrived they were greeted with a glass of bubbly, and a confetti bar (talk about a party!). Guests helped themselves to creating little cones of confetti to toss after Ashley & Dincer said I do. During cocktail hour guests were welcome to sit for a caricature drawing by Barbara Pikus. Guests loved the fun alternative idea plus the take home of sketch!

Blum Floral designed stunning flowers to help bring the spring blossoms inside. Featuring colorful shades of pink, whites and green with blooming cherry blossoms, the flowers were a show stopper. Ashley & Dincer sprinkled personalized touches throughout the wedding including head table place cards & table numbers on geode slices, Ashley's parents wedding cake topper, a Salt & Straw ice cream bar, and baklava wedding favors (thanks to Dincer's family).

After dinner, guests danced the night away as Event Team kept the good tunes going all night. It was one heck of a wedding and we love how Mosca & J&M captured all the feels from the day. We were so thrilled to be apart of their day and wish them a life full of laughter and love!

Lauren + Damin

Damin & Lauren from day one had an amazing vision of bringing the feel and layout of a park into the Sentinel's Governor Ballroom. As we dove into wedding planning this theme was so much fun to execute and made for one memorable event!

Memorial Weekend weather can be hit & miss here in Portland. But for Damin and Lauren the weather was perfect. It was sunny, warm, and a slight breeze. Their ceremony was held at the Oregon Historical Society, and within 5 minutes of starting the ceremony the patio was completely covered in shade. I would like to thank my planning skills made this possible, right? The ceremony was absolutely beautiful as Lauren walked down an aisle completely covered in rose petals designed by Blum

After the ceremony and cocktail hour guests were invited to walk just a few blocks over to the Sentinel for dinner and dancing. Brittany Hampton helped make the walk extra memorable by providing custom maps showing the walking path. And to make sure no one got lost, each block had their logo colored in chalk, directing them through the city.

As guests made their way to the reception, they were welcomed into a beautiful park-like ballroom. There were a dozen 14 foot trees in the ballroom, arching over doors and tables, creating an intimate feel to such a grand room. The tables were designed down to the last little detail of ribbon - tying the napkin. As the evening unfolded guests were kept on their toes with little surprised throughout the night.

Some of my favorite details included, a strolling boozy coffee cart - guests were offered different liquors to be added to their cup of coffee, Pips Doughnuts - serving up some tasty late night snacks, and caricature drawings for those guests who wanted a fun sketch.

Their wedding was so special and the pictures show just how much fun everyone had too!

Best of Bride 2017

Oregon Bride Magazine is has an amazing reputation, for several reasons.  First (of many), is putting out a truly beautiful publication.  Second is the annual Best of Bride bash!  It is the industry event of the year and each themed party is better than the last.  Not only is it a blast reconnecting with some of the area's finest wedding professionals (and some of our favorite vendors!), it is also when all of the Best of Bride winners are announced, which makes it all that more exciting.

This year's theme was "fire + ice" and I had the honor of working with Heather Matheny to bring it all to life! We included all kinds of fun details like ice bars, nitro appetizers, fire dancers, costumed stilt walkers, coordinating cocktails (the Prosecco, St. Germain and Pineapple slushies were amazing!) snow machines, spiked popsicles a sleek loungey vibe to name a few.  My favorite detail? The firemen that carried the hosts, Heather and Alisa, to the stage!

The night was capped off with a big win for Bridal Bliss--we were named "Best Wedding Planner" and "Best Day Of Coordinator" of 2017! Thank you to Oregon Bride Magazine and a big congrats to all of our fellow winners and nominees.

It takes a very special person to be a wedding planner. According to Forbes, we have the fifth most stressful job out there. While there are certainly stressful aspects, it is also incredibly fulfilling and so much fun.  What makes Bridal Bliss special is our team.  In my humble opinion, we have the most dedicated staff around.  This crew gives up evenings and weekends to take care of our clients and make sure their wedding is everything they had hoped for and more.  We take on the stress so that they don't have to. I'm so blessed to be surrounded by such a special group of people.  These women inspire me with their creativity, their willingness to go above and beyond, their encouragement to each other and their attention to detail. They truly make me a better person and planner.

Colleen + Nolan

Although I can honestly say I love working with every couple along their engagement  journey, Colleen and Nolan's planning process was one of the most special for me.  I have known Colleen since she was a quiet kindergartner, standing in line with my (not so quiet) younger sister, Katie.  Best friends since those early days, I still remember Katie telling me that she had met Nolan, and knew he was 'the one' for Colleen.  Fast forward a few years, and her premonition was right on - Nolan was a terrific guy, the two were engaged and planning to get married!  Colleen, Nolan and I chose Swiftwater Cellars as their venue, a gorgeous winery in Cle Elum, and I could not imagine a more perfect place for these two to say their i-dos.

Following a rainy welcome party on Friday night at Stone House 101 luck was with us on the Wedding Day as we woke up to a gorgeous sun-filled day.  The outdoor space was decked out by Carol Allmand, of Where Style Blooms with floral topped wine barrels, and a greenery encased swing to hang over the heads of the bride and groom.  Our bridal party made their way down the lawn only to be upstaged by 'flower girl' Rigley - Colleen and Nolan's beloved Swiss Mountain Dog, who decided midway down the aisle that flowers were not for her.  The laughter continued as Colleen's godfather made their nuptials official with shots of Maker's Mark for the bride and groom (also a special moment as the bourbon came from a barrel he had purchased years before for Colleen on her wedding day).

Guests enjoyed cocktails on the lawn before making their way into the winery for dinner.  Colleen and Nolan entered the room under an archway of sabers (with kisses under every cross!) - a special tradition, as Nolan is a naval aviator for the Marines.  Toasts, cake and first dances followed before the party really got started.  The dance floor was filled with happiness and laughter for these two.  A Villanova Flag (the bride and groom's alma mater), Polaroid pictures, and to-go donut bags capped off this perfect night!

Colleen and Nolan, it means the world to me that you allowed me to be a part of this special celebration, I loved every minute of it!

I cannot put into words how amazing our planner, Molly Corr, was. She went above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. From vendor suggestions and advice at the beginning, to all the hard work she put into every little detail day of the wedding (and the 1 million things she did in between)- it was all amazing. I can truly say, I could not have planned our wedding without her and I am so unbelievably grateful for all the time, emails, conversations, brainstorming, stalking vendors, creativity, running around, and craftiness she did to make the wedding of our dreams, come true. Several people even went out of their way to let us know that she was the most relaxed, well organized, and confident planner they have ever encountered (this truly happened)! I am so grateful that I was able to truly enjoy and experience my wedding weekend and take it all in without having a worry in the world. One compliment we received from someone that I think really attests to her talent, was “Can’t even put into words what a perfect, beautiful, uniquely Colleen and Nolan weekend it was.” I think that speaks volumes that not only can she create a beautiful wedding, but she was able to capture the essence of the bride and groom in every little detail. I would HIGHLY recommend Molly Corr to anyone looking for a planner!!!!

Nicole + Nick

Where do I begin with Nick and Nicole - they are just two of the best. I think it's appropriate to note how Nicole, Nick  came to hear about Bridal Bliss. Nicole and Nick are both originally from Seattle (my hometown). Nicole was recently engaged and having brunch with her Maid of Honor (Kelly), Kelly's grandma and MY grandma. These two grandma's are best friends and when Nicole was talking about wedding planning my grandma recommended Bridal Bliss. In short order Nicole and I were on the phone and planning her wedding. I think it's important to note this story because Nicole was having brunch with two grandma's and neither one was her own. This is because Nicole and Nick are both salt of the earth. Two of the dearest people who are friends with everyone. When it came time for their wedding it was important for them to have all their friends and family in one room celebrating their love story.

Nicole and Nick picked Resort at the Mountain for their wedding weekend. With all the guests from out of town they wanted to host everyone for a fun and love filled weekend. Nicole and Nick said "I do" with a personalized and unplugged ceremony.

They had darling chalkboards created for the weekend which contained all the wedding details and guest list. From the ceremony to reception - their guests loved every minute and danced the night away till the wee hours. It was an unforgettable night for the couple and their loved ones.

Kelly + Ryan

I first met Kelly through a mutual friend about 7 years ago. We ran into each other time and time again. Over the years I learned that Kelly is one of the sweetest, and most caring people. When Kelly got engaged to Ryan, I was over the moon for them. Just a few weeks after being engaged Kelly emailed me and we dove head first into planning.

Ryan and Kelly decided on Sunriver for their wedding. From there we began planning and bringing their vision to life. Using creams, gold and blush for the colors - the design of the room came to life. Heriloom Flowers adorned some of the tables with tall gold branches, orchids and hanging votives. Other tables were low and lush floral arrangements. All the tables were filled with candles. The room was glowing and simply stunning!

The level of detail into this wedding was something out of a magazine. each guests was given a personalized champagne glass which also displayed their seating assignment. Allowing guests to sip and be seated. Inside the Great Hall dinner menus were adorned with touches of gold foil. The dessert table was absolutely decadent with Dreammin' Desserts designing a table that contained three individual cakes and cupcakes.

But perhaps the best detail and surprise of the evening was during the first dance, Kelly and Ryan had gold confetti shoot off - filling the room and kicking off on epic dance party. Kelly and Ryan danced the night away with a room filled with their family and friends. It was so fun seeing everyone celebrate these two as they are two very loving and caring people. An extra special thank you to Grace Ormonde for featuring the event on her swoon-worthy blog!
